Who: Valamia and any Red Dragonsworn
What: A new Draenei appears
Where: The Ruby Sanctum
When: April 12th
Warnings: None although they will be added should they come up

There's a new arrival at the Sanctum today. The new arrival is one very confused looking Draenei. For a moment Valamia stands there, completely lost. Where in the name of all decent things in the universe was she? She shakes her head to clear her head. Trying to figure out where she is would be a good start. It meant there was only one thing to do. Wander around the Sanctum and check it out. Okay so this place looks nothing like any of the places she frequently goes to. That's...not good. Where in the name of all things decent in the universe is she? Her being here must be some sort of mistake. The problem was that she wasn't finding way to remedy the mistake. Of all of the times to get lost it had to be on her way home. Her brows will start to furrow as she keeps trying to find something recognizable. She can't believe she's lost in such a strange place. All the planets in the galaxy to get lost on and she has to do it on what she's pretty sure is still Azeroth.

Fortunately for Valamia, Vas emerges from the Sanctum portal not long after her arrival. She materializes right behind the elder draenei, and she has just enough presence of mind to stop herself before she ends up with a faceful of hair and horns.

She steps to the side, eyes wide as she realizes that she's no longer the only one among her people on this Azeroth. But it takes her another second to realize who this woman is. As it dawns on her, her jaw drops. "Vala?"

No apology. No greetings. Vas is just left in stunned silence, blinking at her as she tries to process her sudden arrival.

"You could say that, yes," Vas manages, still blinking with shock. What's she supposed to say, "oh, we've only been ripped from our place in time and the Legion is at our doorstep"? 'Portal issues' doesn't even begin to hold a candle to their situation, but it's the least crazy-sounding way to explain the reality of it all.

"There's... there's a lot to explain, Vala," she says, ushering her away from the portal's exit. "And if I try to get to the point here and now, none of it will make any sense."

Vas leads her toward the Sanctum's central pond, in case anyone else decides to rematerialize at the portal. One close call today is enough for her.

"I'll get there in a moment, but I need to know something first," she says. "Did Aunt Iluutia ever research any of the weird kinds of magic? Things like, I dunno, bending time or forcibly teleporting people?"

"Morou did," she says, stalling. "Or he said he did, but he could never show me proof. Something about the past already being altered, or something. He got annoyed with me whenever I asked for proof, too. But- I'm going off-topic."

She tries to smile, but it ends up as a lopsided, dismayed sort of expression. "This is the Ruby Sanctum, where the Red dragons live. And their magic is more powerful than my brother could ever have imagined. Powerful enough to take us back in time, among other things."

"... I told you it wouldn't make sense," she says, sighing. "I've yet to hear exactly why they needed us, but this is what Krasus told me."

It still sounds ridiculous, even as she says it. "Apparently they're powerful enough to summon up people from worlds besides Azeroth, too."

Vas scowls as Vala takes her temperature. Does she really think that she's sick? Not that it wouldn't make a bit more sense if she was, really. She shakes her head and rolls her eyes, pretending to be more offended than she actually is.

"They brought us here to fight off the Legion," she says as she folds her arms across her chest. "You know, to the time when the Legion first came to Azeroth."

Vas shrugs. "If I knew, I would tell you. As it is, I've hardly heard a thing from Krasus or Alexstrasza since I arrived."

Oh. No, she can't be- "Lunora..."

She strokes a tendril as she looks away from Vala. "She's a smart girl. She knows to go find Iluutia."

Vas is silent for a long time. What would she do, if she was her adoptive niece? Would she really believe that Vala had up and left her?

"I don't know," she says, slowly. "But I believe that she'd find Iluutia as quickly as she could."

There's really nothing she can say to that. Nothing. She's not a mother, even an adoptive one to an orphan. She's barely even an aunt to the girl, what with her missions that take her so far from the Isles.

Instead she goes to Vala and wraps her arms around her in a hug. Really, what else can she do?
