"I am careful!" She isn't. But really though, it's not like she had even provoked anyone into kidnapping her and her dog, she had just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Avoiding their wrath in a future is something she too would like to do, but she hasn't a clue how to do it either.

Apollo gives Metalhead a pat to the back. "That's Bruce, Metalhead. Bruce, he's friendly." She doesn't explain it to him, but she's purposely teaching the dog to attach that name with this scent. Metalhead is surprisingly intelligent, so she teaches him to recognize individuals almost every time they come across someone new because she knows he'll commit it to memory.

Glancing back up at Bruce again, she asks, "So hey though, haveya had any luck findin' fruit around here so far or what?"
