(closed) here i am, a rabbit hearted girl
Who: Lady & Bruce Banner & Riven (at separate times)
What: Lady makes friends :V
Where: Out and about in the woods.
When: June 25th.
Warnings: None!
Bruce
Perhaps one of the most exciting things about being Greensworn is her newfound ability to manipulate plant life. She's always been able to create anything she desires, even before being placed in this world, but her creations have never been quite so... real before. Her powers are, by nature, temporary, so to be able to create and change something that's physical, real, and lasting is absolutely fascinating to her - so naturally, playing with those powers yet again is what she's up to while out in the woods today. Curious as always, Lady is testing the limits and feeling it out, and is cheerfully and quietly singing to herself as she frolics through the wood near Silverglen.
Inspired by the colours of the forest, her eyes are currently a bright green, and they're watching the ground with interest as flowers spring from the earth with every step she takes. They're never quite the same as the ones before, ranging from red to blue to pink to yellow, from daisies to roses to lilies to hydrangeas (and some other ones that may or may not even be a real species thanks to some embellishment with her own natural powers), and the smile on her face suggests she's creating such a range on purpose.
Her impromptu flower beds also may or may not be stretching out and surrounding a certain meditating someone that Lady has yet to notice.
Riven
Spending the majority of her time enjoying herself out in the forest and, miraculously, so far avoiding any and all serious danger, Lady now finds herself in a small clearing out in the wilderness. Most of the sky is obscured by leaves from the trees all around, but sunlight still manages to trickle in from between the foliage as Lady cautiously begins to approach a creature that will hopefully soon become her friend.
"It's okay..." Her voice is soft as she quietly approaches the stag with a bundle of grass in one hand. "Would you like something to eat, Mr. Deer?" Smiling, she extends her arm and offers the grass open-palmed to the creature, giving it a friendly, expectant sort of look. After a moment's hesitation, the stag begins to come closer, cautious and alert, before it finally comes close enough to begin chewing on some of the offered greenery. "There we go..." Lady's voice is still soft and reassuring, and even though its mouth tickles her hand, she tries very hard not to laugh just in case it scares her possible new friend away. While it's distracted, Lady slowly reaches her other hand up and gently, very gently, begins to pet the large, wild animal's head. "See... this isn't so bad now, is it?"

Meditating is one of them.
If anything, he has to admit that Azeroth is a much better place for such an activity. At least, generally speaking. It was hard to do so in the Amber Sanctum, given the heat and the only shelter provided caves. It wasn't bad, but... well, there were forests here, so why not meditate there.
Which was what Bruce was doing now. He had found a pretty nice rock, got onto it, sat down and started to withdraw into his mind. The tranquility of this place at least was one thing he could appreciate, the calmness and the smell of the flowers...
Flowers?
Bruce cracked open an eye, then opened both when he saw flowers suddenly blooming around the rock he was sitting, and looking around found himself apparently surrounded by them. At least they didn't look threatening, but this was still... well, he was pretty surprised, alright.

Until one little twirl ends with her standing a few feet away from Bruce, who is quite suddenly surrounded by rapidly growing bushes and bunches of flowers. ]
Oh! [ Realizing her mistake, Lady rushes over and waves her hands at the flowers in a shooing motion, making them retract before they decide to encase Bruce in branches and leaves. ] O-Oh, I'm sorry, I was just, um, well, singing and maybe dancing a little bit, but I didn't mean to... do this to you...
no subject
He purses his lips together and tries to quickly squash it back down. Now wasn't the time for this. It was just some plants. They weren't going to harm him.
It's easy enough to say, but convincing the other part of him is another matter entirely. Bruce feels the rumbling inside starting to get larger now, and he takes a deep breath, curling his hands tight, fingernails biting into the palms--
He snaps his eyes back open at the gasp nearby, and he almost loses it for a moment before he realizes where it comes from.]
I--ah. [Bruce has to pause, take a moment to remind himself where he is and what is happening, and to put the facts together. It only takes a moment, and soon he puts on a small smile.] Don't worry about it. They're very pretty.
no subject
Really? So you're... not mad at me? [ Just to make sure. Being a bit of a timid girl, Lady doesn't like to upset or frighten people, so she worries even when he tells her not to. ]
no subject
Not at all. There's nothing to get angry about. [Since there are so many other things that he can get angry about, and Bruce knows that better than most others.]
no subject
Um, are you... out here because you like the forest?
no subject
It's certainly more comforting than most places. [He answers her question with a wry smile, but his tone is only nothing but soft amusement.] What about yourself?
no subject
[ It isn't quite the same, but it's close enough. Having been here for a couple months, Lady has had time to adjust and to find some comfort in things, things that help her feel a little less homesick. But only a little. ]
My sanctum is very green too, but the dragons seem to get upset if I pick any flowers... and it's a very sleepy place, which is nice when you want to nap, but I don't always want to nap, I want to do things and make things.
no subject
The one I'm in pretty much as nothing but sand. [He returns back, still looking pretty wry about it.] It does get kind of boring after a while.
no subject
But if you have sand, you could build a sand castle. [ Because obviously a grown man would want to build sand castles. ] Is it warm sand? Like on a beach during the day when the sun is shining?
no subject
she comes across the clearing entirely by coincidence, and the sound of her plated boots crunching twigs is more than enough for the stag to immediately spring away. riven frowns, first at the retreating deer then, after a glance down to where it had been, at lady. ]
This is how you've been spending your time? [ the disapproval in her voice is so thick you could cut it with a knife. ]
no subject
[ And then Lady's turning around to give Riven her attention, pouting and putting her hands on her hips. ] Your stomping scared him away! [ huff ] Woodland creatures are shy, you have to be nice to them, Riven.
no subject
[ it's not like she attacked it, you know. lady actually having a backbone about something makes her gaze soften a bit, though, and steps fully into the clearing. she doesn't sit with lady, though she also does her best not to hover over her; it works kind of. ]
He was not much of a friend if he ran so quickly. [ this is pure indulgence, for the record. riven gives woodland creatures absolutely no credit, because they are animals. ] You should keep that in mind.
no subject
Don't you like animals? [ That isn't necessarily the point or reason behind Riven's last comment, but it's how Lady chooses to interpret it anyway. ] I know the animals here aren't like the ones back home, but I still like them...
no subject
Are you alone again? [ asking questions she already knows the answer to. they might not be flightmates, but if the dragonsworn are meant to work together... sigh. ]
no subject
[Because the sun almost always shines down and the only source of water is an oasis where the dragons tend to converge around. And Bruce isn't that wholly fond of them still.
He quirks a smile at this point.] I didn't think about building a sand castle, though. Maybe I'll consider that in the future.

[ Seeming to have decided that Bruce is friendly and isn't going to hurt her or anything, Lady comes a little closer, flowers no longer sprouting around her feet when she walks. ] I think that would be nice. I know, um, people think things like that are for little children, but it's nice to do them anyway.
no subject
And if a demon had shown up instead of me? I doubt the Mr. Deer would've done much differently...
[ how does lady not understand things by now? riven really wants to know. ]
no subject
Well... I can't fight, but I could make a cage for it and run away, that's what I did before and everything worked out alright. My dress got singed, but that's an easy fix...
no subject
riven laces her hands together, mostly as a reminder to herself to keep her temper. lady doesn't deserve it, she's far too soft to handle anything harsh like that. ]
That isn't enough. You can't just cage every demon in the world... you need a better plan than running every time.
[ she's not projecting her ideals at all, either, okay. this is 100% unbiased life advice. ]
no subject
But... what else am I supposed to do? I'm not like you, or Rose, or anyone, I can't fight... and even if I could, I can't... kill anything. [ Drawing her knees close to her body, she wraps her arms around her legs and rests her head against them. Quietly, she continues. ] I know they're mean, but I... don't think I am...
no subject
[ "meanness" sounded stupid in her head. ]
You could learn... you should learn. At least while you're here. [ fighting and killing both; she knows they'll have to start small, though. ] The demons won't hesitate, you know.
no subject
I know... [ Feeling a little patronized, Lady turns herself a little bit away from Riven. ] But I still don't want to... isn't there anything else I can do?
no subject
[Also, they all tend to just do their own thing. Bruce can't really blame anybody for thinking that way.
He watches as the girl comes closer, his smile widening a little, and at her next words he nods almost solemnly.] I've never really made one myself before. It'll be interesting to attempt it.
[Bruce can't help but wonder what the dragons will think though if they see it.]
no subject
[ Everyone she's met so far seems to do their own thing too, regardless of flight colour, so perhaps it's a universal thing. This isn't the homeland of any of them, from what she can tell - so she thinks perhaps that's the reason why. ]
You'll have fun, I think! [ There's such an innocent happiness in her voice when she says that. ] And, um, may I sit down with you? And would you... rather sit on a cushion instead of a rock?
no subject
Stay in the Sanctum. Don't venture out to where you'd be at risk of attack.
[ these are literally your only options. ]
no subject
[ she doesn't like those options though weh ]
no subject
He tries not to think too hard about it, though, and puts on his best smile as he nods once more at her words.]
Feel free. And I don't really mind if I sit on a rock or a cushion. [Whatever she wants, Bruce is cool with it too.]
