Who: Karkat and you!
What: Adjusting to this life is a lot easier when you have a friend.
When: This week!
Where: In around the forest.
This was...a struggle for Karkat to get used to.
It was a bit of a shock to be here, to be very honest. When he left home, half of his friends were dead. It had been an absolute nightmare for him in the past few hours; there was no room to be shocked, or to grieve who had died. Before things had finally settled down, the only thing that Karkat could do during that time was move around as best as he could, hoping that he wouldn't be found.
Things had just, just settled though. Gamzee had settled down, people weren't killing each other...and then he found himself here. Then all of a sudden he was called a hunter, and he lived in this place that was supposed to be as cold as ice, but he never really felt anything.
There was this nice part, though: he had a little friend.
Or maybe it wasn't so little. For a crab, it was pretty fucking big. It was pretty intimidating too, a hell of a lot more than Crabdad was. It could move really quick, and it could keep up when he ran, and you'd better hope you weren't something he was hunting, because this thing would rip out your insides and eat them whole.
He was pretty cool.
When he had plenty to take home, Karkat knelt down, allowing the crab to scurry up his shoulders and rest. It was pretty big and sometimes it would fall off, but after some trial and error it made itself comfortable, and they'd continue on as always.
"You need a name." He mumbled to the crab as they started to walk home. "Who's that human asshole who John liked so much? You're not gonna be named after an asshole, though."
