It certainly does sound a little odd. And it marks Rose as something different, not the ordinary girl pulled into a bad situation like Saori initially assumed. She doesn't respond immediately, taking a moment to try and sift through her thoughts on the matter and filter it into something she could relate to. It reminded her, in a way, of the relationship some Myojin had with their priests and champions. Though, at the same time...none of them would dare not help their courts.
