*though his first strike did indeed fell one of the demons, Geddoe wasn't quite fast enough to catch the second similarly off-guard. He's certainly not losing, but having to break past his opponent's defenses takes time, and takes his attention off his surroundings. Which would explain why he seems yet to have noticed that yet another demon is approaching from behind...*
