So the stranger doesn't actually fall, but he's let go, so that's good enough for Vanadi. He springs away as soon as he's able to, jamming the dagger back into his belt again with a huff. That pause and his apparent confusion is odd, but the words at least are familiar. Vanadi smiles unkindly.
"I wasn't the one with the unwelcome grab." Which might be a first, actually. He sets both hands firmly at his hips. "Now, am I going to get any sort of explanation for any of this?"
