[The Obsidian Sanctum is quiet, even in the midst of activity. The wounded have been taken to the right of the giant pool of lava in the center of the cavern, where Surion grimly stands observing. There aren't many dragons who seem to have made it inside, but it doesn't seem to have put a dent in the amount of black dragons moving around the sanctum either.

The ceiling is impossibly high, even with all the mountain range stretching through it. Rivers of lava create most of the light source, but Blacksworn will have no problem finding their way around once they are brought through the portal. The eggs have been moved to smaller and warmer clusters around the sanctum, and are guarded by at least two dragons at all times.

Meanwhile, Deathwing has himself perched on one of the larger ledges close to the ground so that he may watch the goings on from an elevated position, making his metal encased form very easy to see as soon as one enters.]

[The news of the reds and their great numbers gets him to pause in his picking, eyes finally shifting to his child.]

It matters not. Alextrasza's consorts are dead. In time, she will have no children left to bolster her numbers.

[Surion doesn't cower, at least. He's too proud for that, being one of Deathwing's children and not some other clutch.]

... Yes. Even if she were to pick another consort, it would take ages for the whelps to be battle-ready.

[He lingers still, waiting to be given orders or dismissed.]

[Deathwing leans a bit closer to scrutinize his child before deciding he is satisfied, shifting himself to fold his wings and forepaws lackadaisically.]

I will expect spoils in the future if we are to be housing the lesser races, Surion. Let me not pay witness to such an oversight again.

[He snorts a cloud of ash.]

[Oooooh that's cold. But Surion doesn't cower, not even a bit. Deathwing's children do not cower.]

[He disappears quickly, seeming to melt into the shadows of a nearby rock.]
