Who: Agent Washington and anyone, Bronze flight only for the first part, open to all second
What: Post kidnapping recovery following up by a lone hunting trip to unwind with his pet
Where: Bronze Sanctum, then the forest outside Silverglen Retreat
When: After the kidnapping plot wrapped up
Warnings: None
A. At the Bronze Sanctum
Washington decided to stick around the Sanctum for a while after what happened. He realized exactly how few of the people that he's supposed to be working with that he truly knows. There was a small headache settling into his head for the moment, but at least the people did manage to get him free, and he's safe from the elves he and his pet had been captured by. As unhappy as he was in some ways to be here?
He didn't want to die. Especially not like that. As someone's prisoner for something that hadn't even been his choice. And that itself was something he was probably going to need a long talk with Lanadormi about eventually. Among other things.
At this point, he had pulled off his armor from home, and was trying to clean it and do maintenance as well as he could, considering. He was starting to realize something was going to need to be done about the power situation too.
B. Out in the Forest
Washington needed to get out after a while of dealing with the Sanctum and pulling his armor back together. It may be the home he has in this place, but part of him just needed to get out. And the blue raptor needed the exercise as well as a hunt. He'd brought the old style gun the place had made into a comfortable weapon, and he's letting the raptor try to select a target for them, ready to back it up if needed.
He just wished the raptor would stop chasing small creatures that really wouldn't serve to even be more than a raptor snack. It started smelling at the ground, looking like it had found something to follow. What was it this time?
((OOC: Feel free to have it be an animal and yours stumbles into things or have the raptor start stalking a character... It's still learning not to stalk intelligent life.))

She's still in the process of skinning one of the foxes, after all. "Do they usually provide bear to you lot over in the Bronze flight's sanctum, too?" Because dear god is she sick of bear meat. "I suspect with your gun, you might manage to take something down more palatable."

He shrugs. "There's a fair bit of it. I try to hunt for myself when I can. And I would, if the dinosaur didn't spook it all."

It's not like Carolina's ever had a pet of her own, she can't really offer advice there herself. Not for pet taming, at least. But plans of attack? That she can do. "Once you've located your prey, find a good place to trap it, then have your raptor go round and herd it into the location you've chosen. Think that'd work for you?"

"Locating the animals isn't ever the problem. It's keeping the raptor for ruining it by attacking too soon or being where the prey can smell it." He sighs. "Anything's worth a try."

"You'll figure it out," she says absently, before dagger is stowed away as the last of the skin is yanked off the dead creature. Ugh. "Have you named it yet?" The remains are eyed critically - fox isn't exactly something humans eat - before she motions to the raptor. "Maybe this'll fill that belly enough to prevent it wrecking your own kills."

The raptor dives into the remains of the fox now that Carolina gives permission. And it isn't a clean eater... Wash used to get a little uneasy at how the raptor eats, but he's adjusted...
Wash shrugs. "Nothing I thought up to date has really suited him..." Or the names that come to mind, he doesn't want the reminder of them, when it's him and Carolina alone from their home.
