A: COOKING FIRE SHENANIGANS

Feeling peckish? Have a delivery to make? Or just want to try your own hand at serving up some grub? The Redsworn's usual cooking area has been expanded for the evening, with two extra firepits dug out to cater for additional mouths. Over one fire burns the now "traditional" starter meat of bear flank, something any newly sworn (red or otherwise) will have the pleasure of sampling first. There's also several baskets of berries, fruit and vegetables, while a pot obtained in trade from Silverglen bubbles merrily.

B: FIRESIDE MINGLE

The redsworn of the Ruby Sanctum have claimed a corner of their own beneath one of the larger trees. There's a smaller fire here set for warmth and ambience, and have logs set about for seating for those who don't like perching on rocks or roots, or don't find the comfy grass comfy - park yourself and have a chat!

[ arya quickly shakes her head. ]

No, I was just — [ she does have a few. now that she already has vas' attention on her, she'd might as well. ] Do they have any special ways of finding us? Like, can they sense us if we're near or have really good hearing — ?

[guerriera]

[ Two can brat at this game. She leans forward, bright armor beneath her cloak a little more visible as she rests one gauntlet across her knee. Green eyes glint. ]

I live here. [for the moment] You do not. You first.

Can't. Mother says I should not give my name to strangers.

[ more like she should not talk to strangers, but catelyn isn't here to remind her. even if she were, there's no way to survive here unless she talks to people. ]

[wilder]

[he pulls the plate away, though at least he's smirking a little!]

Oh c'mon. Where in the rules does it say that?

Given that you're not Redsworn, must make things difficult here.

[ Since pretty much most people here are going to be strangers to you. Save for the girl's wolf, anyway.

Who knows. They weren't in the mood for talking, so I didn't ask.

[What with the demonic corruption and all]

It's probably my food. I'm never been one for kids. [Total lie, but it'd be uncool to admit otherwise!]

Nah, I think they just want my food.

Do you like baby dragons?

[Reliving aside, it's not too surprising to hear that. He is still fine tuning his own sworn powers]

Well...I guess you probably haven't had many chances to practice, huh.

An ambitious goal, from the sound of things so far.

Seems like a lot of things around here prefer to attack and not talk. [hmm] Makes our job easier at least half the time, anyway. See anything interesting while you were at it?

[ whelps were dragon children, but seemed very pet-like. Carolina didn't have a soft spot for children, exactly, but these ones were cute. Bitey, but cute. ]

Hnn. Hope they don't expect us to cook them meals when they're full grown too.

[THAT gets a snort]

We're here to prevent demons and evil magic invading different worlds. Together or apart, THAT is an ambitious goal for any flight.

[lightningbearer]

*raising an eyebrow slightly*

But not so much for all of them combined?

[guerriera]

No less ambitious, but we have more resources to pool together than working apart.

[A cool sidelong look] If you have a better suggestion, I'm all ears.

[wilder]

[In return he simply gives a small, cryptic smile. ]

Heh, careful.

Some things in the worlds are not meant to be used.

*he's of the mind that everyone needs to work together, himself.... he just isn't a fan of being put in the spotlight by being the one trying to lead them to do it*

Yeah, but this was different than the elves's hostility. It's like they were barely aware of anything going on around them.

[So incredibly cute. And a couple are trying to see if they can get closer to that plate..!]

Heh, don't worry. You'll be dead before these guys are fully grown.

Do you have contacts in the other flights?

[ arya gives a little shrug. her hand on nymeria's back, she turns to leave. ]

*now this is the kind of information Geddoe's definitely interested in, so once he realizes what she's talking about, he's listening intently*

You have experience fighting them before...?

[persequor]

[ she nods so quickly it's as if she had been waiting for that question. ]

All the dragons at home are dead. No one's seen any in more than a hundred years. [ she glances at nymeria who seems more interested in the food zelos has than in the dragons. ] No one had seen a direwolf in that long either until we found ours.

[ arya clutches her hands together to keep herself from reaching out. ]

Can I — Would anyone mind? If I fed them too?

[ let her feed a baby dragon before she explodes. ]

Like they were drugged, or under some external influence? [Not that she can imagine crediting bears with much sense]

[ Carolina's own plate has been 'neglected', but she's keeping an eye on the sneaky dragon childrens. Right up until Zelos uses the 'D' word, which earns him a briefly blank look, before she makes a face. ]

If we're already dead, I doubt how long we survive here will make a difference to them. [she's glowering a moment, before taking a bite out of one of her skewers] But that means it'll be the next lot who get to deal with them, I suppose.

Corruption, most likely.

[Given the evidence of legion weapons with their leader, and how they were tearing apart their own once carefully cared for home]

Heh, I meant your natural lifespan- not if you'll survive the war. Dragons can take over a century to mature, depending on the breed. [Seeing some creep towards him, he tosses them a piece of meat] Hopefully the war won't go on that long though.
