sometimes you can't make it
Who: Alexstrasza, Krasus/Korialstrasz, and the Redsworn
What: Successful retreat into the Ruby Sanctum
Where: Ruby Sanctum
When: After a long, grueling battle near the borders of Suramar
Warnings: Please PM the mods if any warnings are needed
[The Ruby Sanctum is a flurry of activity. This becomes clear within two seconds of stepping through the portal. The wounded are guided over to a grassy clearing surrounded by saplings and adolescent trees, bade to lay down and receive healing from other dragonkin. Some of the trees are years old, while a few look to have shot up recently. If you watch, vines engulf one fallen warrior; the body sinks into the ground, and a tiny sapling appears in its place.
Despite the war going on outside, the sanctum is less of a cavern and more like a self-contained dimension. Ample sunlight drifts down through scarlet leaves, which are occasionally home to the crimson scales of a whelpling. There is life everywhere: insects on twigs, birds chirping overhead, flowers at your feet. Dragon eggs lay nestled in the nooks and crannies offered by the tranquil forest. There is a decently-sized spring filled with fresh, pure water, as well as some small rocky outcroppings to sleep in. It's warm and comfortable enough to rest out in the open, too.
The cloaked and ever-mysterious Krasus stands watching the dispersing redsworn, his back against the massive oak in the center of the sanctum.
Occasionally, one may glimpse a beautiful red-haired woman with copper skin winding through the copse.]
[ooc: Mingle log for redsworn!]

It's now that he finally speaks up, voice as neutral as he can make it despite being confused and upset, the weight of the locket he wore around his neck feeling heavier than usual.]
Go ahead. You seem like the type to be from around here, correct me if I'm wrong. So perhaps you can clear a few things up for me.

[ Krasus works in mysterious ways after all. ] Ask whatever you wish of me, champion, and I will give a honest answer.

Why me? There's plenty of other people from my world who could have been pulled here. I had things to attend to in another universe. And there's no need to explain this Burning Legion to me, I got the memo already, thanks.
[A lot of it is just frustration coming out of him. If it's not one thing, it's another, as far as he's concerned.]

It is you who has the potential we seek to save not only our world, but the worlds you have touched. [ He used 'my world' and 'another universe' meaning it's possible he's been involved in two. ] Or would you sit back to watch them both perish while doing nothing to help?

No. [He looks away.] I wouldn't. [He gazes out toward the wall of the sanctum.] But those guys back in Luceti, back in my world also, they can fend for themselves. They're pretty strong, a lot stronger than you dragons give them credit for. This Legion has the power to destroy whole worlds, well, so do those of us who come from my home universe. But I need to know one thing.
Can they be stopped in another universe too? Or is this just a never ending stream of destruction?

Yes. The fight will not end here on Azeroth. [ Exhaling sharply.
It's a lot to take in and to explain it all while being pressed for time is a tremendous burden. More so than keeping her composure when she should be grieving. ]
Azeroth is acting as a bastion of magic for these demonic fiends. Through the power they gain here, they threaten to take down many other worlds. If we can stop them here, it will be easier to pick off their forces in other worlds.

I see. So you guys can't stop them on your own, so we're the ones that were pulled here to help, tell me this; how am I supposed to know that once we've beaten this Legion of yours, that you and the rest of your kind won't try something? Because if there's one thing I don't like, it's being used as a pawn.

Up until recently, we never meddled in the affairs of the younger races. To many of the denizens of Azeroth we are deities who are on another realm of existence. Every little thing we do is in order to improve life for the planet as a whole as instructed by the beings who blessed us with this power.
[ Blessed her, at any rate. ] I am the Life-Binder, a title not so easily bestowed upon others. My brothers are the Timeless One, the Spellweaver, and the Earthwarder. My sister is the Dreamweaver. Each of us were given responsibility in each of those domains, all of which encompasses the very life of this planet as well as any others we have sworn ourselves to.
Even if my beloved siblings refuse you, there is still my aid and that should be enough to take out the weakened forces of the Burning Legion in another world.
[ There are a lot of them here. Her children will keep her word as will she. ]
Would you have me do something to prove it?

But even so, he is curious.]
As a matter of fact, I would. I've dealt with beings like you before, if you are what you say you are. [Just trying to make sure she's not like the Malnosso :( ]

[ Her words while arrogant are conveyed through a curious look and soft tone instead. ]
