[The Ruby Sanctum is a flurry of activity. This becomes clear within two seconds of stepping through the portal. The wounded are guided over to a grassy clearing surrounded by saplings and adolescent trees, bade to lay down and receive healing from other dragonkin. Some of the trees are years old, while a few look to have shot up recently. If you watch, vines engulf one fallen warrior; the body sinks into the ground, and a tiny sapling appears in its place.

Despite the war going on outside, the sanctum is less of a cavern and more like a self-contained dimension. Ample sunlight drifts down through scarlet leaves, which are occasionally home to the crimson scales of a whelpling. There is life everywhere: insects on twigs, birds chirping overhead, flowers at your feet. Dragon eggs lay nestled in the nooks and crannies offered by the tranquil forest. There is a decently-sized spring filled with fresh, pure water, as well as some small rocky outcroppings to sleep in. It's warm and comfortable enough to rest out in the open, too.

The cloaked and ever-mysterious Krasus stands watching the dispersing redsworn, his back against the massive oak in the center of the sanctum.

Occasionally, one may glimpse a beautiful red-haired woman with copper skin winding through the copse.]

[What a curious woman, really. Odd garb, at least, in comparison to her previous world- kindness, of course, and... well, the eyes really are the most prominent part. And her horns. On closer inspection, they aren't just attachments, are they?] I'll remember that. My name is Amane Kuzuryu- you can call me Amane.

[Her introduction is still rinsed-and-repeated from previous ones, but she tries not to make it sound mechanical.] Your siblings? You don't mean...

...The other Flights? [Oh. Oh, fuck, that makes sense too, doesn't it? She could heal a dragon of any color, so technical problems in relation to helping other flights was rendered a nil explanation for why they couldn't drag back other colors. My children, she says- the humans are split between the Flights, and the dragons much more obviously so... siblings-

She's someone important. That much is certain.] I hope so... with the combined effort of everyone, we may be a formidable power.

[Unfortunately, power is the only real way to shoehorn change in.] I take it that most parties aren't open to diplomatic reasoning for one reason or another?

[ The talk of politics is something she's not ready to share with a newcomer yet, but there's no way to dismiss the topic without coming off as rude. ]

Not for now. [ That's as polite as a dismissal as she can muster. ]

Amane, there is not much we can do between ourselves while those demons roam free. That battle must be conquered first for everyone's sake.

[That answer is okay to her, actually. She's had to deal with a fair share of... unsavory details before.]

The demons... [This really is familiar, isn't it? Trying to compete against Chaos, the War of Bel, dragging Kazuya up to Messiah status... trying to implement her own plan, while everyone fought against each other, when they still shared a common enemy with the demons.

Alignment wars.]

I see. Do we know anything about where they come from?

Little. [ There's much to learn about them, but as one of the Titan's chosen ones, she has been able to take a guess at their purpose. ] Their goal is to eliminate all life in each world connected to ours. As for how they are here or why... [ She pauses.

Meddling high elves is the likely cause, but no need to make an enemy of another race just yet. ]

It is of no importance for now. What is important is we push back against their army and restore peace where we can. Everything else will happen... in due time.

[She's getting a tiny bit suspicious, mostly because she's hid some pretty sacrilegious information in a familiar way herself- but doesn't bring it up.]

I see... each world... do we have information on their advancements and forces, then?

[She doesn't like war planning. Or battle planning in general.

Unfortunately, she's kinda grown good at it.]

Not much. [ Frowning, it's a bit personal to be bringing up, but she forces herself to say it anyway. ] The general of our own forces was killed recently.

[ Meaning they are scattered within their ranks. Were it not for Krasus, the Red Dragonflight would be more scattered. ]

It will take time to find a suit--[ A long pause. ]--able replacement. Forgive me, this topic is not an easy one.

[Ah. It's alright, then. She'll move on quickly.]

It's fine. [The general... this really is a predicament. So, if that's why they were brought here...]

I will see to it that the demons are driven back. [It's a very heavy promise to make, especially with the issues riddling her powers- but Amane isn't saying it spur-of-the-moment. She will fucking do it, or die trying. If there's anything she's sure of, sitting by the sidelines is something she was taught to never do.

For the sake of the people... even if they're not her own.]

Your aid is appreciated, but do not overwork yourself. [ Either she can tell or she's just very motherly. ] There is much to do here.

I admit that we should have been better prepared for your arrival. There are things you will need that we do not have yet.

[ Beds are probably the most important thing. ] The process will be slow and there will be bumps along the way. Conflicts between my children and my champions.

I only hope you will be able to work matters out between yourselves. [ Mothers apparently can't be everywhere. ]
