Who: Those accused in the recent framed plot-- Yugo, Zelos, Zelda, and Jacques.
What: It's time to bring everyone back together and see what they've found in their investigations. It should make things clear that someone is behind it, and there are a certain number of weird inconsistencies that point to... well, we'll see.
Where: Let's say, somewhere in the village.
When: I'm leaving this open-ended, for the most part. After the barrow dens have been cleared, at least!
Warnings: None, but let me know if anything needs to be changed.


[After spending a couple hours interrogating the townsfolk, Yugo is confused and a bit alarmed at what he was able to find out. The truth was: not much. Obviously there was a liar about, but these people were so sure about what they'd seen, or rather what someone else had seen... It's almost like they were told something, and made to believe it.

There's no doubt that someone drew on their faces and did those other things, as he's seen the proof... but the 'eyewitness accounts' are a bit lacking in detail and sense, and it's really telling that only the black and bronze dragonflights were able to go into the village for a while. Maybe there's some magic they don't know about.

Thankfully, he's at neutral, but Yugo's still not happy. He wonders what the others have found out, and so he hangs out by the gates, hoping to grab them before they go back to their sanctums.]

[Jacques doesn't seem to be surprised that the boy volunteers, but he won't go and wash his hands of this business once that's been decided. Although he doesn't meet Zelda's glance when she looks towards him, he does notice it, but he's looking at Yugo.

While he says nothing, he does nod in agreement with the other blond. They're in this together.]

It's fine.

[He doesn't mention that the last time he tried to confront Qilby about something, he ended up in a huge fight that nearly cost him his life.

... Might be a good idea to mention he can be violent, though.]

If things go badly and we end up fighting, can I call on you for help? I'm still not at my best, and Qilby has been here longer than I have.

[Zelos hasn't spoken up. Frankly, he's been downright quiet since they left the barrow. Instead he's standing not too far from the group and listening to the conversation, not drawing attention to himself. Qilby, huh? He tries to think of when he's even met the guy...but nothing comes to mind.]

[He's reluctant to send a kid in, but it's not like there's not much choice either...]

What's this guy capable of? I mean, 'sides the whole manipulation powers thing.

[Which was...creepy to think about, really]

[ Frowning, now her concern rests on whether or not Yugo was capable of defending himself. He's proven he's an adept combatant when it comes to fighting monstrous bears, but what about someone from his own world? ]

Yes, it may be a good idea for us to know what we can expect if things were to go sour during... your conversation.

Zelos was pretending to be Jacques apparently ;)

[Jacques is already nodding in response to Yugo's question. Although he'd rather hope that it didn't turn out that way, the hunter is ready and willing to back up his new friends, and especially since they'd all been wronged by Qilby.

But he realizes that what Zelos asks is probably a good thing to know before they get into any mess. ...not that he's not used to working through impromptu ventures.]

Okay.

[He looks up as Zelos finally speaks up. The guy's been kind of distant the whole time-- a good fighter, but obviously a mercenary like he said. He doesn't want to be involved in things that won't benefit him, and while Yugo can't really agree with that personally, he understands where he's coming from.

Most of his party members were like that actually.]

Qilby can use portals like I can, and shoot beams too. But he's older, so he can make more portals and use more lasers. I don't know exactly how many, because when I fought him, he had his power boosted.

I'm... not sure all four of us could be a match for him. I'll do what I can to keep things from getting that far. If I can meet him here, then that will be better. He wouldn't want to fight with people around.

[wilder]

Seriously? You kicked some serious ass in that cave, so if this guy can do more- that could be a problem.

[Maybe he'd be more willing if he had all his powers back to face the guy. But right now? He wasn't so sure and his posture says that much. ]

But...this guy ruining my reputation with the only friendly city around really isn't good, so...I guess I can try to stick around town when you do this in case something goes wrong.

[ That can prove to be a problem, but if he attacks Yugo... wouldn't that strengthen their story against him? It could be the event that singles him out as bad news and could work in their favor, though the gamble of someone's life isn't something she's willing to tolerate. ]

The risk seems too great, even for you to approach him alone. We should find a location in which you can make your escape with ease and then try to convince him to visit with you there.

Something public may work as well. There is less chance of a provoked attack while there are witnesses, wouldn't you agree?

[He remembers those portals from their little furbolg traipse, but he'd thought it was something exclusive to Yugo. That someone could do more with such an ability is a bit concerning.

What Zelos and Zelda have to say cover whatever Jacques might have thought to, and if not, they bring up good points that he agrees with, so he sticks to nodding.]

We're both Eliatropes, but I'm only thirteen. There's only so much I can do. He's really, really old and he knows more about wakfu than I do.

[Yugo doesn't look happy. It's not just because he's jealous of Qilby's ability, he's actually worried; he's the kind of kid to show what he's feeling openly.]

I think it would be less risky to meet him here, in the village. I can look around. If he made the black flight more accepted by making everyone else look bad, then he's probably here.

He can't stop me from taking a portal over here. [He's pretty sure, anyway.] So I'll talk to him and let you know what happens.

[wilder]

[He considers the ideas, before nodding]

Yeah, I think in the village's probably the safest bet.

[he wished he had better ideas but frankly...there's so much he didn't know about Eliatropes, Qilby or what's going on in this situation that there's not much useful]

Just be careful, okay? Should we set a time you should be back by?

[ With the concerns having been brought up, Zelda herself still doesn't feel all that right leaving him on his lonesome. Isn't there something else they can do to help..? Interfering in the matters of other worlds isn't exactly what she's been called here to do, but Yugo is just a child.

Then again, she did confide in a boy even younger than him seven years ago with the same burden she carried, so if there's anyone who should believes in him without doubt? It has to be her. ]

Yugo will be fine--he's proven himself to be capable enough and he is the one out of the four of us most experienced with this individual. It wouldn't hurt to set a time to expect you by however.

...that sounds like a good idea.

[He doesn't like the idea of leaving a kid alone to face someone potentially dangerous, but if it's in the village, at least things should be more controlled.

Hawk screeches on his shoulder, the hunter glancing at the eagle before looking back at Yugo.]

Hawk will keep an eye out from above. Is that okay..?

[yugo]

[Yugo nods.] That's fine with me. This should only take an hour, at most. If I'm not back by then, then you can look for me.

[He smiles fangishly, trying to be brave.]

I'll be careful.

[wilder]

An hour then.

[He thinks about it, then gives a little nod]

Well...good luck to ya. Let us know what happens.

Yes, we wish you the best of luck, Yugo. [ Look, the not!princess believes in him. ]

Remember there's no shame in running away if you feel you need to, we will be here to support you should you need it.

[Jacques nods at the kid, Hawk screeching his wellwishes for the both of them.]

[He hops into a portal somewhere deeper in the village. He has some asking around to do.]

[wilder]

[And just like that, the kid's gone. It's sure gonna take him some time to get used to these portal thingies.]

[But now that they have to wait, Zelos gives a small sigh to himself and moves to sit in the spot against a wall that he was standing. This has been a pretty long day, and who knows how fast things will turn ugly- best to catch what rest he can.]

Sure hope this won't be a disaster...

[ Sharing the same hope as the redhead, Zelda takes a proper seat as well, not fluent in how lazy actual warriors sit. Waiting will be the hardest thing for the three of them, but she still firmly believes that Yugo has the greatest task himself. ]

If it is, we'll make it right.

[ninjacques]

[The hunter chooses to remain standing for the moment, although after sharing a glance with his eagle, the bird takes off from his shoulder, riding the breeze higher into the skies above the village.

Jacques watches the skies a moment before he looks back towards the other two, nodding slowly.]
