[This realm is one of dreams and it certainly appears that way. Many of the living creatures don't stir from their slumber even as the newcomers pass them by. A gentle rain can be heard, but rare is it that the droplets fall close enough to the earth to muddy the path laid out before them.

The wounded have been brought into a clearing with a low hanging canopy that provides a cool shade while the healers themselves work on grinding a mixture of freshly-picked flowers and decaying leaves. There's a spring nearby that provides fresh water, which is cupped into large leaves to drink out of.

Straying from the clearing proves to be... interesting. Vines as wide as cars hang from the gargantuan trees above. Brightly-colored flowers of all sizes shoot up from the thick undergrowth, and some of them close up shyly as you approach. Others bear sweet fruit, though picking the flowers themselves is highly discouraged.

Somewhere near the center of this jungle, there is a gentle, mossy hill. It looks as if a dragon might have made her bed here, and recently at that.

Morpheus sits against a tree looking rather tired, his fur cloak pulled tightly around his shoulders so that only his nose and ears stick out.]

[Jacques can't blame her for being a little uptight, all things considered. He's not the type to snap back either, so he only continues to regard her rather calmly until she takes the water from him.]

[The silence goes on a bit before Rose glances back up again.]

Not the talkative type, I take it.

[...not so much, no. He ducks his head a little at that, but it's nothing he feels the need to apologize for. Conversations aren't much of a strong point for him anyway, especially given how much he's used to being on his own.

But if there are things to be said, he'll make the best of it.]

If you need, there's more water there...

Over there? I'll probably head over there to get more of this off me. I wonder if there's a bathroom around somewhere. Maybe the dragons have a hidden shower or something.

I'm Rose, by the way.

[He nods, although in regards to bathrooms and such, he doesn't know what to say, really. His ideas of such are probably much different than Rose's anyway.]

...Jacques.

[He can introduce himself, at least.]

Alright, Jacques. You and your one word responses are going to come with me and look for showers or someplace where I can wash this demon blood off. And if I have to do this caveman style, you can stand guard while I make use of a stream.

[She seems serious, though. Well, obviously if he's not going to be given a choice on the matter, then he my as well tag along. He'll have to suggest that she not use the source of their drinking water to bathe in, though, if she heads in that direction.]

[Rose might be from wonderful modern civilization, but thankfully wilderness survival was a guardian class at St. Vladamir's. He doesn't have to warn her about the drinking water. Though if she thought it would get more than one sentence of conversation out of him, she might have done it anyways.]

Let's try... [She slowly spins around, looking, before picking a direction where there seems to be a few more dragons.] This way.

[Given that he hasn't really had a look around himself, Jacques isn't going to complain in getting the chance to, now.

He glances around before looking in the direction that Rose suggests, and with a nod, he'll follow her lead.]

[Confidently, Rose headed out on her quest. The longer she went without washing the demon gunk off her, the more irritable she was going to get. One would think a guardian would be used to it, but just because she was willing to get covered in blood didn't mean she had to like it. Or wear it as an every day fashion accessory.

The closer she got to the dragons, the less she saw something that looked like a shower. So, she chose a different direction to head toward. And, soon enough...]

...damnit. Which way to the lake? I got turned around.

[Wilderness survival she had, a compass or other orientation points she lacked.]

[At least she's in the company of a decent tracker, and although he's not much for words, Jacques does pay attention to things.

He doesn't question her change of course, nor does he reprimand her for getting herself lost. Instead, he helpfully points in the direction they'd first been meaning to head.]

[As if she knew it was that direction all along, Rose heads that way with a nod of her head to Jacques.]

I think we need to go kick Morpheus awake and see if he can point out the showers.

....maybe we should let him rest.

[Between his resting and Rose's shower, Jacques thinks Morpheus' priorities would be more important. ...not that he thinks it would be a good idea to voice this opinion.]

Who else is going to tell us where the showers are? You going to go ask Sleeping Beauty instead?

[Yes, Rose had already come up with a name for their Aspect.]

[Maybe he should ask who she means, but another question has been bothering that he feels he should probably ask instead.]

Just...what do you mean by showers, anyway..?

[Coming to a complete stop, Rose turns to stare at him.]

You've got to be kidding.

[This is the face of one who does not kid very much.]

No, seriously, you don't know what a shower is? How did your people get clean quickly?

Baths take time. Showers are faster.

Think... concentrated rainstorm in small enclosed space. No need to wait for the water to fill up like you do with a bath.

Then... you're going to stand guard by a stream and make sure no one comes near until I'm done.

[At least he's reasonable about such a request. It seems more sensible than asking about showers.

Jacques gives a tiny nod.]

[To him. Rose would rather just kick Morpheus awake to get directed to showers. But, she decided she'd give in and let him sleep. JUST THIS ONCE.]

I think there was a stream this way.

[And she heads off away from the clearing into the jungle-forest. She wanted to get far enough away that she didn't think anyone would randomly wander by while she was washing herself in the stream but not too far away.]

Okay. This looks good. You go stand over there. [she points to a spot] And keep watch for people. Do not look back this way. Be a gentleman.

[A lot of trouble they've gone through to look for a place to bathe, but at least it seems Rose is finally settled with where to do so. She'll get another nod at her directions, and Jacques will walk over to the spot appointed him to keep watch.]
