[Locked] We can form a single united body

Who: Alexstrasza & the Red Dragonsworn
What: The Red Dragonsworn need to figure out a chain of command that works for them. Vas has gathered everyone together to do just that.
When: July 30th
Where: The Ruby Sanctum
Warnings: Politics, personal and not.

"I have no doubt that you are wondering why I called you here."

Vastania stands at the edge of a circle of boulders twenty feet across. To her side is the Dragonqueen herself, and they both look outward at the gathered Redsworn. "It has become clear to me that we are without direction. We all do as we will, and not what is best for the whole. This must stop here and now. To continue to wander aimlessly, to pick off only a few demons at a time at our leisure, to fail to work as one - these are the things that will kill us. These are the things that will leave us divided and weak, and easy prey for the Legion."

The Vindicator takes a breath to calm her nerves, and continues. "This circle behind me is our meeting hall. It is here that we must decide how we will conduct ourselves. Those who enter the circle will be bound to certain rules: one may not sit, sleep, eat, or drink upon entering the circle. Should you enter and then leave, you will not be allowed in again. Should you grow weary, you must leave. Should you become violent, you will thrown out.

"These rules are harsh, but if you follow them, you will be allowed to speak your piece. Your opinions will be considered and weighed, as an equal. If you do not, you will have no say in any matter we discuss. Those who will not comment on policy do not deserve to set it." She stomps a steel-shod hoof against the ground, tail held high and proud.

"Come, let us all speak. Let us all decide, together, how the Red Dragonsworn will be led."

She feared, while the dragon queen intervening was welcome, the damage may already be done. There was clearly some issues that either weren't going to be overcome or would only be overcome through some serious and possibly upsetting conversations. Talk about a way to endanger the united flight idea. "You are right."

"We have issues at the moment. Different ideas and beliefs, some that aren't going to be overcome now. People are going to butt heads and some beliefs may not be changed. What we need to focus on though is working together. Keeping ourselves level-headed and trying to figure a way to best keep the flight from falling apart."

About to spar right back with Vas, the Blood Knight fell silent as the Dragon Queen spoke. And for a rare change, he took the time while Vala was speaking to actually think about and compose his own answer.

"I feel that we need to answer the broad question. We Redsworn have no control over who joins our ranks, and from experience, I believe that undead, warlocks, and such forth are not impossible comrades here. Beyond those familiar ones, we also see and may continue to see even stranger cases from other worlds. I believe we need to address the issues of tolerance and inclusion now, rather than over the head of someone who appeared here without choice and is now being debated for worthiness by their own Flight."

"The choice is not left to you for good reason." If it were up to any of the dragonsworn, there was a good chance they would bicker over the most skilled to join their ranks. Whatever the criteria may be, a warlock or a Death Knight wouldn't find their ways within the fold of the Redsworn without sharing the same views as others and it's with those views alone they would prove themselves worthy of the mantle. "It remains the decision of the Dragon Mages and them alone to make."

Taking in a deep breath, she steels herself mentally for confrontation herself. If there was anyone they should argue with, it's her, not themselves. Not when there are so many other matters to discuss.

"Leave that as a task for the newly appointed leader and remain vigilant in the current discussion. For now, the matter is simply out of your hands, out of all of our hands."
