Greens do it in your dreams. [OPEN TO ALL FLIGHTS]
Who: Rose and YOU!
What: Accidental Dreamwalking. (prose or action)
Where: IN YOUR DREAMS! Though Rose is physically in the Emerald Sanctum, hanging out near the hollowed out tree she's claimed as her own if a flightmate wants to bother her. OrSleeping Beauty Ysera wants to reprimand her.
When: Throughout the first half of April very, very late at night.
Warnings: will update if the dreams get too weird.
Rose still hadn't adjusted herself to non-moroi timetables. To her, midnight was still mid-day thanks to the nocturnal lifestyle she'd lived practically most of her life. She was slowly working on transitioning, but it still had her awake at what most people thought were weird. Or they might if they didn't sleep for days on end like the green dragons.
It left Rose with a lot of free time in the Sanctum. She didn't like sitting about, but it was still marginally better than the jail cell she'd been in not too long before the demons had invaded her world. She wanted to get out there and destroy the demons so she could get back home. She really missed Lissa.
Getting out of the habit of slipping into her best friend's mind to comfort herself while separated from Lissa was hard to break. It wasn't as if she could go 'check up' on the Moroi princess anymore, but the act of relaxing and opening her mind up to the possibility was something that Rose automatically did when she was bored. Unfortunately, as a Dragonsworn of the Green Flight, that meant she accidentally found herself 'checking up' on people she had no bond with at all.
Ugh, Ysera had even told her about this eventually happening. Now, if only she knew who's dream she ended up in...

"Though other than the weird logo, this one doesn't seem so bad." Rose slouched in her seat a bit. "Though why you're dreaming about being a trucker is beyond me. I thought it was little boys that dreamed of driving a big rug."
no subject
There's a pause as she settles into the seat more comfortably, herself. "And how is it you're in my dream, anyway?"
no subject
Now that she thought about it, was it possible for truckers to give girl truckers non-insulting handles? Maybe they were like sailors in those ancient times where women weren't allowed to sail.
"It's just something I can sorta... do. If it's any consolation, I didn't mean to end up here." Or anywhere.
no subject
She wasn't really a trucker, either, and the sexual connotation of the name is plainly lost on her. That sort of slang is largely lost in translation, after all.
"And I don't really mind. It's odd, but you aren't unwelcome, so long as you're not rude. Who are you? And what...dragons...do you work for?"
no subject
Yes, most of it was wrong.
"Just for clarification: feet up on the dash - rude or not? And I'm Rose."
no subject
It doesn't really matter, she supposes, but she is curious. She's had so very little contact outside of the sandy hell that is the Amber Sanctum, and it's frustrating. She's got a friend to find, when she wakes up, after all.
no subject
"Nope, I didn't, but I get the feeling it really doesn't matter since the whole 'not one of ours' thing is half the reason we're on this rockdisc in the first place. Someone should really tell the dragon mages that the world isn't flat." But that was a tangent. "So, I'm not one of yours. You know it reminds me of a silly movie where the heroes have to cross a bridge but only get to cross by answering some questions truthfully. It starts out: What is your name? What is your favorite color?"
no subject
"But no, this whole 'dragonsworn' bit is just a stupid notion, and those hidebound reptiles need to get over themselves if they really want to stop these demons. I was just hoping you'd met a man named Vegeta, or knew what...color...he'd been stuck in is all."
no subject
"The dragons bicker like Royals. And they'll never get over themselves. They just need someone to get all of their attention and, like, punch them all in the noses or something in a way they can't ignore. And apparently the demons aren't jabbing hard enough," she grumbled. "Your friend isn't part of my Power Rangers unless he's using a different name and, like, doesn't talk."
no subject
"Royals? You mean human nobility? Yes, I suppose they are, a little. All proud and self important." Saori can't help but question the phrasing there. She has no idea what Power Rangers are either, but the context is clear there.
no subject
"You think you've got a wicked enough of a hook to get the dragons to stop being dicks?"

"You wanna tell me what a Yo-gin is? And the whole 'lesser creature' think is totally unattractive, so you might want to keep a lid on that attitude."

Rose then looked over and tilted her head. "But, if the dragons are all 'lesser' beings, how did they manage to bring you here and take your power away. Seems to me that makes them a whole lot not lesser, you know?"
Sorry, potential religious irreverence
"And as I understand it, they didn't take away my power. Nor would they want to, given that they wish us to fight these demons and I can do so much more effectively with my own power. Which I would do willingly and without argument. But..." she pauses, looking back. "Being pulled through timeways altered it to better fit this world, and the dragons seemed just as confused as to why. Whatever magic they've used to bring us here isn't perfect, clearly."
no worries^^
Of course, she's never come into contact with any of the world's malevolent spirits yet.
"I get to play 'oh hey, what does this do?'"

It was such an ingrained response, that Rose doesn't even think about how odd it probably sounded to people outside of her society.
no subject
"So, you're some sort of yojimbo bodyguard for these Moroi." A statement, really, not a question. "And not by choice."
no subject
"Guardian. We're called guardians." Rose shrugged. "And I technically had a choice; female guardians are very rare. The Academy basically raised me, but once I turned eighteen, I had the right to do whatever I wanted with my life. I did withdraw from the Academy for a while before deciding to go back."
no subject
"Are males given the choice, after this Academy training?" Saori's eyes flash with curiosity. Little bits of knowledge about other worlds never really failed to capture her imagination, and a mysterious sounding academy was definitely keeping her interest. "And why are females rare?"
no subject
"...a lot of dhampir women raise children in communities. Some become blood whores." There was a weird detachment coupled with disgust when she said that.
