A: COOKING FIRE SHENANIGANS

Feeling peckish? Have a delivery to make? Or just want to try your own hand at serving up some grub? The Redsworn's usual cooking area has been expanded for the evening, with two extra firepits dug out to cater for additional mouths. Over one fire burns the now "traditional" starter meat of bear flank, something any newly sworn (red or otherwise) will have the pleasure of sampling first. There's also several baskets of berries, fruit and vegetables, while a pot obtained in trade from Silverglen bubbles merrily.

B: FIRESIDE MINGLE

The redsworn of the Ruby Sanctum have claimed a corner of their own beneath one of the larger trees. There's a smaller fire here set for warmth and ambience, and have logs set about for seating for those who don't like perching on rocks or roots, or don't find the comfy grass comfy - park yourself and have a chat!

I have put it out of mind. Though I could say the same about myself - the not being dead bit, that is. [what a couple of optimists]

The decision is not mine to make alone. [ An answer that is only bound to cause more frustration, she's sure, but it's the truth. ] If Krasus has not made mention of it, there must be a good reason.

I will speak to him and my siblings. Answers will come though they may not come quick. We are at odds with one another so gathering all at once, well, it is a matter you shouldn't concern yourself with.

The Kaldorei are a honorable race. If they were lied to once, they won't be fooled easily again.

We are sisters. [ Even if they cannot see eye to eye on these matters, Alexstrasza will hold her in the highest regard. ]

Just as Nozdormu, Malygos, and... [ An obvious pause. ] Neltharion are my brothers. The love I hold for them cannot be measured.

I can't speak for dragons, but many humans fight poorly when they can't be certain of their fellows' intentions.

[ It is war after all. ] Why does it matter what happens to the other Dragonsworn? Have you companions spread among them or do you intentionally pick this battle for no good reason?

[ Each of the Dragonsworn have been brought here to help their associated flights. What she will ask of her own she knows she cannot ask of her brothers' own, therefore she won't. ]

Even with our help, can any of the flights defeat the demons alone?

[Hm. Is he really that clueless? Qilby's first instinct is generally to assume that everyone but him is an idiot, but at the same time...

An incredulous look passes over his face, quickly replaced by a sympathetic smile. Zelos isn't the only good actor around.] Ah! You must be a recent arrival -- that probably explains why I haven't seen you around before.

One must tread lightly in the field of inter-flight politics. These dragons have been fighting among themselves long before we showed up, and so we run the risk of inheriting their old quarrels.

[A sigh, a little shrug.] My flight has their... Differences with the others. Some Dragonsworn take that to heart. And so we have meetings like this one, to clear the air.

I cannot say. [ She's not a general and the war is handled by her children. ]

Within all of us, yourself included, is a strength that lays dormant waiting to be released. A single man can change the fate of the world if given opportunity, that is what legends are made of.

[Not that Jacques knew what to respond with, so that saves them both the trouble, at least.]

Even heroes and champions have companions. And I don't care to stake the fate of the world solely on legends.

[That pause only prompts him to recall what Morpheus had mentioned about Neltharion. Nozdormu is the only name he isn't familiar with of those mentioned.]

[He was doing so well at managing something akin to respect, right up until he barks out a laugh.] Oh yes, because I'm sure all the Dragonsworn care to do so. [Which is true, whether she likes it or not.]

[There wasn't terribly much going on to entertain Ymir beyond food, annoying people, and more food, so when she spots Alexstrasza out of the corner of her eye, she stops and takes notices.

And by takes notice she means staring. Very obviously so, up and down, wondering where the hell she got that outfit. So shameless. So brazen. And totally 120% Ymir approved.

The freckled one decides to be equally brazen, not knowing the consequences fully of what she's about to do, putting on a wide grin and walking up to the lady, fingerguns out, eyebrows a-wagglin' and spouting off the worst possible thing to say.]

Hey babe, if I was as red-hot as you, I'd not wear much other than the chainmail bikini get up either. Because damn if you aren't on fire.

B: Let's talk about Demons

[Vas has discussed the Legion's forces in detail before, but only for the benefit of the Red Dragonsworn. It should come as no surprise, then, that she uses this chance to explain the demons to any other Dragonsworn who will listen. Imps and Succubi, Dreadlords and Pit Lords and even a few of the demons she didn't have a chance to describe earlier - the Shivarra, Terrorguards, Fel Hunters, and Infernals - all laid out in detail to whoever asks. Though, some Redsworn may notice that she's been careful to avoid discussing the Eredar. Perhaps her lecture is long enough without recounting the history of the Draenei.]

Right. Luke told me some about it...didn't sound like much fun.

[He takes note of that incredulous look. Nor does he confirm or deny the remark about him being new. It doesn't matter really and would just entrench him in some lie that might backfire if he goes with the new remark]

Jeez, really? That's a pain.

[He just gives a shrug] Well don't worry, I tend to stay out of politics. As long as we beat the demons so I can get on with my life, I'm fine with whatever.

"I'd love to!" he said brightly, "but all I've got is the basics, and that seems such a letdown. I haven't routinely carried spices around for a couple of years, ever since we all figured out that they were nothing but a giant scam implemented by the professional chefs and vendors as part of a worldwide scheme to funnel our hard-earned coin into their pockets while overcomplicating simple recipes."

He paused a moment to let them digest that, then said with a roll of his glowing eyes, "The depressing part is that it just proves everybody can work together just fine so long as the common cause is sticking it to the consumer!"

[ Carolina is in the middle of biting into one of her meat skewers when the question is asked of her, and there's some hearty chewing to follow as she eyes Geddoe. She'd seen him moving around, but hadn't expected him to address her.

Once she'd finally able to swallow, she licks her lips before responding. ]

Until we try, it's hard to say. But someone needed to make that first attempt. Might as well be us.

[ And since they couldn't leave it to the dragons to manage that, Carolina knew it would fall to the Dragonsworn to do so. ]

[ Arms fold, and Carolina leans back against her root perch, eyeing the man before her. ]

Krasus made a suggestion once regarding the dragonsworn. I simply made use of it, with agreement from THE others.

[ Nonsense or not, you're still came. She narrows her eyes a moment, before they widen slightly in recognition. ]

I spoke with you over the Orb network.

[ Someone has definitely noticed the variety of food being mixed together; Carolina has made several circuits of the area to keep an eye on guests and redsworn alike, and the Doctor has had a plate of...something each time.

It's on one of her latter rounds, now with her own plate of food, that she pauses to squint at whatever combination the Doctor happens to be trying this time. ]

..I'm not sure those are intended to go together.

[ there's a soft snort to have her words tossed back to her. She wouldn't disagree much about people sucking, though. ]

True. Though seems like some of us have lasted around here longer than others. [Quinn seems to have vanished, for one. And that spikey haired guy she met on arriving here hasn't been seen since then..]

More people turned up than I expected. [and mostly behaving right now] So that's good.

[ It's hard not to notice your Flight's leader when she decides to come calling - Alexstrasza is certainly more sociable than Krasus, or so it seemed like, and Carolina finds herself standing to attention, nodding respectfully to the Dragon Queen. ]

I'm afraid that however little you want to do with it, it has a way of getting you involved anyway. [There's that sympathetic smile again. You know, like people getting framed for crimes they didn't commit... This sort of stuff happens every day, really!]

But yes-- in the end, I suppose that's what we all want. [He settles himself down on a log opposite Zelos; if it wasn't obvious before, the way his left sleeve hangs at his side makes its conspicuous emptiness plain to see.] Provided we can stop making enemies of the elves long enough to focus on the Legion, that is.
