A: COOKING FIRE SHENANIGANS

Feeling peckish? Have a delivery to make? Or just want to try your own hand at serving up some grub? The Redsworn's usual cooking area has been expanded for the evening, with two extra firepits dug out to cater for additional mouths. Over one fire burns the now "traditional" starter meat of bear flank, something any newly sworn (red or otherwise) will have the pleasure of sampling first. There's also several baskets of berries, fruit and vegetables, while a pot obtained in trade from Silverglen bubbles merrily.

B: FIRESIDE MINGLE

The redsworn of the Ruby Sanctum have claimed a corner of their own beneath one of the larger trees. There's a smaller fire here set for warmth and ambience, and have logs set about for seating for those who don't like perching on rocks or roots, or don't find the comfy grass comfy - park yourself and have a chat!

[ It is war after all. ] Why does it matter what happens to the other Dragonsworn? Have you companions spread among them or do you intentionally pick this battle for no good reason?

[ Each of the Dragonsworn have been brought here to help their associated flights. What she will ask of her own she knows she cannot ask of her brothers' own, therefore she won't. ]

Even with our help, can any of the flights defeat the demons alone?

I cannot say. [ She's not a general and the war is handled by her children. ]

Within all of us, yourself included, is a strength that lays dormant waiting to be released. A single man can change the fate of the world if given opportunity, that is what legends are made of.

[lightningbearer]

*if he's moved in any way by such words, he certainly gives no sign of it*

Even heroes and champions have companions. And I don't care to stake the fate of the world solely on legends.

*not when he's already been part of making such legends on more than one occasion.... and more importantly, is it truly so difficult for the flights to cooperate?*

[ Apparently it is. ] That is why each flight has their own Dragonsworn.

When it comes to resolving matters, we all have a different vision. The day in which we all see with the same clarity is one I strive for, but it will take time. All wounds need time to heal.

And I suppose you expect all of us to simply take whatever side we're assigned to?

No, but I expect rejecting their aid to survive entirely on your own won't end well for you, nor any who try. For now, we must get along with others.

Working with someone isn't the same as supporting them at all times in all ways. If continuing a conflict does none of us any good, why should we rush to join it? From the sound of it, there's bigger things to worry about anyway.

There are always bigger things to occupy one's mind with, but the important thing is to remain on task. Those who stray will find themselves overwhelmed with all of the world's problems and none of the solutions.

[ Surprisingly amiable while discussing this, as if there's no other option. Working together is admirable and choosing their own sides even more so--loyalty can be respected. However, outright rejecting the help of their sworn flight will only make matters worse for these otherworldly champions. ]

Aren't those the same thing in this case? Fighting a powerful enemy one at a time is a good way to get everyone killed, but a team working together can do far more with less risk.

[lifeforged]

[ Shaking her head. ] One who strays will have other things to busy themselves with while neglecting the battle and may be scorned by the others for how they prioritize themselves.

This is an enemy better faced together. We cannot afford anymore loss of life.

However it is as I have said: each of you have been brought here to aid a designated flight and they will in return provide you with the same help. We each have our own manner in which to end this and perhaps someday we will come together to fight. For now, tensions run high and with it, irritability with one another.
