A: COOKING FIRE SHENANIGANS

Feeling peckish? Have a delivery to make? Or just want to try your own hand at serving up some grub? The Redsworn's usual cooking area has been expanded for the evening, with two extra firepits dug out to cater for additional mouths. Over one fire burns the now "traditional" starter meat of bear flank, something any newly sworn (red or otherwise) will have the pleasure of sampling first. There's also several baskets of berries, fruit and vegetables, while a pot obtained in trade from Silverglen bubbles merrily.

B: FIRESIDE MINGLE

The redsworn of the Ruby Sanctum have claimed a corner of their own beneath one of the larger trees. There's a smaller fire here set for warmth and ambience, and have logs set about for seating for those who don't like perching on rocks or roots, or don't find the comfy grass comfy - park yourself and have a chat!

[While he's not one for smalltalk, Jacques will at the very least nod a greeting at the redhead when he sees him. He's sharing some cooked meat with a large eagle who's carefully perched on his shoulder.]

[Oh hey it's Jacques. He's not...at all surprised at the nod and no words. He gives a nod back and doesn't mind doing the talking]

Whose your friend?

[Jacques glances at his feathery companion, the eagle lifting his head to screech a greeting at the Redsworn.]

...Hawk.

[wilder]

...Hawk.

[Wow that's...the most uncreative name ever. He does his best not to wince at hearing that loud screech though, and puts on a smile]

Okay, nice to meet ya Hawk. You've known each other long?

[He tried, okay. Jacques isn't the best at names.

He looks at the bird, holding out another piece of meat to be snatched up.]

Only since we were summoned to this world.

[he blinks]

...Seriously? They gave you a hawk when you showed up?

Man, I really got the short stick.

[ninjacques]

[He nods hesitantly. Actually he got an eagle but Jacques either doesn't know the difference between birds in this weird place or doesn't think it's necessary to point out.]

[yeah he's sorry he's a spoiled rich kid so wtf is the difference between a hawk and an eagle and what does it matter]

[But whatever bemoaning he does, he shrugs it off when Jacques doesn't respond]

Ah well.

Hey, I don't think I ever asked you but- what did you get accused of?

[Not that Jacques knew what to respond with, so that saves them both the trouble, at least.]

[he raises an eyebrow]

Seriously? Can Greensworn really make people fall asleep?

[He tilts his head a little. The eagle on the other hand seems to be amused.]

[Wow jerk hawky! He just rubs the back of his neck]

Heh heh, well that obviously was a false charm! You don't...strike me as the type to go around making people fall asleep or...poison them.

[ninjacques]

[Hawk doesn't have much experience in playing with others.]

...I haven't even figured out how to do it yet.

[wilder]

[Reliving aside, it's not too surprising to hear that. He is still fine tuning his own sworn powers]

Well...I guess you probably haven't had many chances to practice, huh.

[ninjacques]

[He shakes his head. Not much opportunity to practice at all, and he wouldn't have ever considered doing so on the elves as he'd been accused of.]

[wilder]

Hmmm...

Maybe next time we fight demons you can practice?

[ninjacques]

...maybe.

[He's not sure if practicing out on the field when you don't know what you're doing is the best idea, but then at the same time, what else do you practice on?]
