A: COOKING FIRE SHENANIGANS

Feeling peckish? Have a delivery to make? Or just want to try your own hand at serving up some grub? The Redsworn's usual cooking area has been expanded for the evening, with two extra firepits dug out to cater for additional mouths. Over one fire burns the now "traditional" starter meat of bear flank, something any newly sworn (red or otherwise) will have the pleasure of sampling first. There's also several baskets of berries, fruit and vegetables, while a pot obtained in trade from Silverglen bubbles merrily.

B: FIRESIDE MINGLE

The redsworn of the Ruby Sanctum have claimed a corner of their own beneath one of the larger trees. There's a smaller fire here set for warmth and ambience, and have logs set about for seating for those who don't like perching on rocks or roots, or don't find the comfy grass comfy - park yourself and have a chat!

[He watches this scene, soon starting to laugh a little as all the dragons try to clamber around for the food]

Hey guys, calm down- you're making Nymeria nervous. You'll all get food.

[persequor]

[ arya spreads the rest out as well as she's able. she tosses a few far so as to be granted a breather. nymeria comes closer and arya sneaks her the few pieces she had palmed. ]

It's all right, girl. See? [ arya holds her hands in front of nymeria and wriggles her fingers. ] All there.

[wilder]

[He snickers a little as he watches]

She's really protective of you, huh?

[persequor]

[ arya giggles when nymeria nuzzles her palms. ]

She loves me. Oh. I'm sorry, I have nothing else. [ she dips her head in apology to a curious whelp who came up to her. ]

[wilder]

Yeah, she does.

[The little whelp make a whine noise at Arya. Zelos will grab a piece of meat from his plate and toss it in the air. The little whelp sees that and darts up with it's little wings- snatching it midair]

[persequor]

[ arya doesn't take her eyes off the dragons. ] Do they always let you play with them?

[wilder]

I guess? [he's never seen any dragons say otherwise] Though they usually aren't interested in Sworn unless they got food.

[persequor]

That's because you don't let them play. You're too boring.

[wilder]

Oh yeah, that's right I forgot. I'm allergic to fun.

[persequor]

Yes!

[ she clasps her hands together, then pats him on the head. ]

You should fix that.

[wilder]

[he looks up at her with an expression of "did you seriously just headpat me"]

Fix that? Fix that how exactly?

[persequor]

[ be glad she hasn't said "good boy" yet. ]

You can start by smiling more!

[wilder]

[The answer is immediate]

[persequor]

But you're handsome when you do!

[ arya tries to push the corners of his mouth up. ]

[Oh dear goddess. He pulls away and makes a face, sticking his tongue out at her]

Please, I'm always handsome!

[persequor]

[ arya responds just as maturely, mimicking the gesture and grinning. ]

Come on! Just one! For me!

[But he doesn't wannaaaaaa. He huffs a little and his expression is practically a pout. Sure, he knew how to smile. He knew about a hundred different smiles. But he didn't want to smile.]

[But he could tell she'll probably keep pestering, and he rather not get into why he doesn't smile with a nine year old kid]

Alright, fine.

[wilder]

[And so, he'll look over at her and give her his most goofy, overdone and terrible looking smile possible]

[persequor]

[ to her credit, she tries, really tries, to regard him coolly. but the corners of her mouth twitch and her eyes are shining and she claps her arms around her middle when she bends over laughing. #preteens ]

[wilder]

[Oh good, that got the desired result. But he'll whine anyway]

What? No good?!

[persequor]

[ in between snickers, she shakes her head. gonna have to try harder. ]

[wilder]

[he's trying his best not to grin from her fit of laughter. No must keep a straight face!!]

Aw, but I tried so hard!

[persequor]

[ she thwaps him on the arm. ]

For true! Do it for true!

[wilder]

[He laughs a little]

No can do, my dear. My real smile's dangerous- it might make you fall head over heels for me!

[persequor]

[ she gives him an "oh you" look. ]

That will never happen!
