A: COOKING FIRE SHENANIGANS

Feeling peckish? Have a delivery to make? Or just want to try your own hand at serving up some grub? The Redsworn's usual cooking area has been expanded for the evening, with two extra firepits dug out to cater for additional mouths. Over one fire burns the now "traditional" starter meat of bear flank, something any newly sworn (red or otherwise) will have the pleasure of sampling first. There's also several baskets of berries, fruit and vegetables, while a pot obtained in trade from Silverglen bubbles merrily.

B: FIRESIDE MINGLE

The redsworn of the Ruby Sanctum have claimed a corner of their own beneath one of the larger trees. There's a smaller fire here set for warmth and ambience, and have logs set about for seating for those who don't like perching on rocks or roots, or don't find the comfy grass comfy - park yourself and have a chat!

If the different flights can't all work together, who would expect anyone else to?

*not that he approves of any of this factionalism, but, well, he just finished fighting in a war that started with all sides at each others' throats before being brought here, so this scenario is a little too familiar to him*

Call me idealistic, but I tend to think a common enemy that gives no quarter and wants to annihilate everything is more important than political bullshit.

Then fight as you can without worrying about what others are doing. Or do you plan to wait to do anything until someone comes to help you?

Of course, I'm going to fight. I have a duty I won't forget about. But it'd be nice to not have elves trying to stab me in the face for things I wasn't remotely a part of. And I can't work on the lack of face-stabbing until I know what actually happened.

I don't know about you, but I can multitask. I can and am fighting and killing demons while trying to figure this elf problem out. Or do you expect me to ignore that they accused Jacques - my flightmate - of doing things he hasn't, making life for my flight worse?

Jacques said the elves were lied to. However, he and the others were able to handle the situation without resorting to waiting on the real culprit to do something about it.

Yes, because they took the time to find out that the elves were lied to. Trying to get information so you have a better approach is not waiting for someone else to do something. I'm trying to get information. If the Queen D won't give me it, I'll find it elsewhere.

I'm still allowed to be irritated about her refusing.

They were able to handle it because they took advantage of the opportunity they were offered to prove themselves regardless of what they did or didn't know about why.

Being annoyed is one thing; insisting you need something more before doing anything is another.

Woah, woah, I never said I needed it before I could or would do anything. I'm just saying it would make things easier if I knew and I feel like we should have the information since our lives were on the line. Stop putting words into my mouth.

And the Sin'thalas elves never offered those they captured or any of the rest of us any chance to prove ourselves. It was full-on hatred there, and I'd like to know why. You can't fault me for that.

Then why waste your breath complaining and dwelling on what's already happened? And if you knew, what difference would it make? Do you think they would hate you less simply because you knew why they hated you? Do you think that knowledge will allow you to force them to reach an understanding with you?

There's no question that it's ideal to be well-informed, but there's no point wasting time and energy chasing after fruitless pursuits.

Secure my flight's position in this world by establishing a base to work from that won't put the Emerald Sanctum in jeopardy to conduct precision strikes against Legion forces. I'd like the other flights to do the same so we're assaulting the Legion on multiple fronts, but I'm not counting on that.

[Said without hesitance. Despite Rose's bitching earlier, she knows what she wants to do.]

What are you planning on doing?

That he is. He hardly even talks back at all!

He's her fav flightmate. Then again, she also assumes silence = consent.

[One the benefits of having a very small number of Greensworn - probably the only benefit - was that she'd already figured out most of that stuff Geddoe was working on. Unless he was referring to all of the dragonsworn. But he was probably more cautious (and experienced) than Rose was. She tended to be impulsive.]

Vastania of the Red Flight knows the most about the Burning Legion. The Red Flight also seems to have the most dragonsworn that are familiar with Azeroth and the greatest numbers.

*Geddoe's flight is small as well, but he took a somewhat extended absence from it in order to test some of his own capabilities, which meant he wasn't as on top of the rest yet as he could be. ...and, of course, he probably is quite a bit more cautious and all*

I plan to speak with those who seem on top of things here.

Do you know anything about the other two flights?

The only contact I've had with the Bronze is this dragonsworn of theirs called the Doctor. He's kind of nuts and unpredictable. The Black flight... I'm not sure what to think about them. Sometime in my gut says to be wary of them, but there are a couple I've met that seem legit.

They were the two flights unaffected by the lies spread in Silverglen, as well. It may be worth learning to what degree they're learning to cooperate, if they're on friendlier terms with the elves.

The Black Flight actually benefited from that whole Silverglen thing. They weren't welcome before. Then again, neither was your flight, but you had a couple people accused. None of the Blacksworn were.

Of the Black Flight, I get along with Apollo and Riven isn't too bad. Being a man, you might manage to get help from Qilby. He comes off too much to me as a creepy old man despite seeming to be nice and helpful. [But that's was because he reminded her too much of some of the older Moroi Rose has had to deal with.]

Qilby? Jacques mentioned hearing of him. Which one is he?

*of course, by "Jacques mentioned" Geddoe means he got that information after asking him a good two dozen questions about the whole Silverglen affair, but details!*
