"No, wait!" Kairi shouts after the dragons, not ready to be dumped off in her new home. "You don't understand, I have to get back! I have to make sure they're okay--!" All her hollering doesn't seem to matter and she finds herself in the dark cave. It isn't as great of a shock as the green flames had been not too long ago, but she still draws herself up tight, looking around herself with rising panic.

This... this wasn't good at all! She'd be more willing to help these people if she knew about Sora and Riku and the King and... She has to go back!

But...

That didn't seem to be much of an option by the look of her surroundings.

"Hello?" she calls. She chews at her lip. Well... Standing around forever doesn't help her, but she doesn't particularly want to get near the dragons. Except they seem to be sleeping, so she tiptoes past them and towards the underbrush...

She remembers those people talking about unlocked potential. She wonders if that translated into turning your friends into sheep and throwing ice at them.

"I don't really want to figure it out anytime soon..." Pause. "A-At least around other people." Yeah. Definitely not around other people. But oh! Wait! "What happened with you, then?"

"Hey, don't worry. I'm sure it can be put to good use somehow!" Though he's not going to argue about practicing away from people. Since seriously, being turned into a sheep and shot in the air was not fun.

Oh, what happened to him? "Haha, well I found out I can...sorta change into things!"

He'll demonstrate in a moment, just give him a second before he gets shapeshifter jetlag.

Somehow. Eventually.

"Other things that aren't sheep, I'm guessing," she replies, amused.

If she thinks about it and ignores the disorienting feeling, she can remember him being a mermaid. This probably wasn't the same thing.

He gives a little laugh. "Yeah, not sheep." He couldn't even talk while he was a sheep, or change back. That couldn't have possibly been one of the druid powers.

"It's more-" He considers how to say it without sounding crazy. "Actually, it'd better if I just showed you. Watch!"

It's not like Sora to ever pass up a chance to show off anyway. He concentrates, and a moment later there's another puff of smoke- albeit one that looks different from the sheep spell. When it clears, there is definitely a black lion standing where her friend used to be.

"Tah-dah!"

"Wow, Sora!" She claps her hands together, pleased. "Do you go around pouncing demons?"

Her reaction would make him blush a little if he wasn't covered in fur. Sure is remembering Donald teasing him about how Kairi would find his lion form cute, man.

"Something like that, yeah!" His tail swings a little back and forth. "I'm still getting the hang of it, but it's kinda fun."

And then, after all this discussion of powers and such, Kairi remembers how they got into it.

"You asked about the keyblade. Did something happen with yours?"

He hesitates a little, frowning as much as a little lion can frown.

"...Yeah. For some reason, I can't seem to summon it. Haven't been able since I got here."

"That's strange... Maybe it has something to do with whatever they did to you? I'm sure after we're able to go home," because they were going to get home, "you'll be able to summon it again!" Unless whatever they did is permanent, but Kairi's an optimist.

"Yeah, I hope so." Even if he was getting used to his new powers, it still felt really weird to be without his keyblade. And with everything that was going on in his time, being short one keyblade was not what they need.

Still, this was Sora. He wasn't about to give up everything even without a keyblade. "It's okay, though. I can make do without it."

She would be worried if he did give up. It wouldn't be like him at all!

"Do you know if you can do anything else other than turn into a lion?" Not that turning into a lion wasn't great! But... he used to use magic, too, before he came here. Did he lose that? And Kairi was able to do some other stuff besides the Sheep Thing, so it was safe to assume...

"Some stuff, yeah! I'm still figuring it all out. But I'll be fine!" Like how he stumbled upon the lion thing when he was with-

Oh. Yeah.

He should probably mention that.

"Though, uh, I should tell you. I don't know how, but...Naminé's here too."

That draws her up short, and anything she might have said stutters off into silence. Naminé? But they just... they just rejoined! Kairi would know if they were separated! ...Wouldn't she?

...

She hangs her head.

If she thinks on it and tries to look into herself... Maybe she could realize. But she just doesn't know how to recognize it, just like she doesn't know about the keyblade.

Positive. Think positive.

"Well... this means I'll be able to talk with her face to face, right?"

Sora watches, feeling a bit helpless. Frankly, he's not sure of anything. Naminé showing up here was surprising enough. But Kairi at the same time?

"I...don't know," he confesses. "I don't know what'll happen if you two get near each other." If they'll both stay their own people, or if they'll rejoin again...it was too hard to say in this place. "Sorry."

Kairi doesn't want to force Naminé to rejoin her. She doesn't even know if it would work. She just wants Naminé to be happy.

"Is she here here? In this sanctum?"

He shakes his head. Yeah, he gets the concern.

"No. I think she said she's with the Bronze Flight."

"Oh."

She tries not to be too disappointed. She's very grateful to have Sora here! He's her best friend! And she's known him for most of her life; they even went on a crazy heart journey together. But... She barely got to know Naminé and the Nobody is the other part of her soul, so...

"Do you think we could find her, sometime?"

Oh no that look. He knows that look it's a terrible look-

Except really, he can understand, even if it relieving that they have some space apart just in case they wouldn't stay their own people. He can understand possibly better than anyone else in the worlds. If he found out Roxas was here, he'd want to find him. It'd be near impossible to convince him not to look for the guy.

Even if his best friend was worried about what could happen if they found each other.

And so after a pause, he'll step over to Kairi and his head to give her a reassuring nudge on her leg.

"Yeah. We'll find her. Promise."

She brightens.

"Thank you. I hope she's doing alright, wherever she is..."

Has she made friends? Does she have someone to watch over her? What about all those dragons? But if there's nothing that can be done for it now, she'll just have to stifle down her worry, somehow.

"I'm really glad you're here, Sora."

"Yeah. Me too."

He knew so little about the Bronze flight, it was hard to deny that he was a little worried for the girl. She was another friend after all.

At her words, he'll smile up at her.

"C'mon, I'm always with you Kairi, remember?" You know, with that hearts are connected and all that fun jazz. "But I'm glad to see you too."
