[OOC: This post is for any and all interaction with Derenaar and the Greensworn helping the elves from scouring demons to rearranging the greenery to other daily quests up to and including showing other Dragonsworn around. Please remember to add your tag to the post.]


[When the Greensworn arrived at Derenaar, they weren't entirely sure what to expect. Were these elves going to be like the Sin'thalas elves and wish their destruction because of some grudge against the dragons? Or would they be more like the elves of Silverglen Retreat, willing to allow them access and trade but stay distant? What they hadn't expected was - after a lengthy conversation in Darnassian between Rose Hathaway and the elven leaders of Derenaar - to be welcomed in with open arms to the city.

With it being better than initially expected, the Greensworn set about proving themselves by helping out in Derenaar. It seemed a bag of demon heads and a few Kaldorei druids that still honored the Green Flight went a long way.]

Would they also fight against the Burning Legion?

Yes, for the same reason. They might even be persuaded to temporarily ally with us... if they thought they could consume us all afterwards.

...more allies would be better, temporary or not.

Even the type of ally that holds its main strength in reserve, aiding us just enough to ensure victory before turning on our weakened forces?

[ninjacques]

[Jacques looks thoughtful at that.]

...what if they ended up having to use those reserves after all?

[seesbosscrotch]

Then we're probably dead, so it's of cold comfort to us! But the ideal situation would be an equal alliance. But how often do you enter an equal alliance with ants?

[ninjacques]

We do have certain advantages, though. For example, the Nerubians were completely defeated by the Scourge simply because the latter had access to essentially unlimited reinforcements. Much like the Legion. If we can convince them of their peril...

[ninjacques]

...but how..?

[Mar chuckles, a bit wryly.]

If I knew that, I'd be doing it.

[ninjacques]

[Well...that's true.]

[seesbosscrotch]

[And now he understands, or at least, Mar assumes he understands by his lack of response.]

Thus my intent to go see what's out there, so we can begin planning how to address them.

[ninjacques]

[Mar's assumption isn't wrong in that case, and Jacques nods again as that proposal sounds reasonable as well.]

Thus my intent to look for a Nightsaber, which I believes brings us neatly full-circle!

I have been! Unfortunately, without much success, but nevertheless, that's no reason to stop trying!
