[Zelos had no idea demonic apocalypses could be so...dull.]

[Okay, maybe that was the wrong word for it. But to Zelos, it's felt as though he's done nothing but train, gather supplies and fight demons for the past several months. And what the only village being a complete boondocks and the fact he didn't get along with a lot of the other Sworn- he couldn't help but start to feel a little like he was going nuts from the repetition. Even in Exsilium he had a job, books to read and a roommate to harrass. Not to mention a bed and a shower. This was painful!]

[And unfortunately for the Sworn, Zelos's boredom had a habit of turning on others.]

[So for the people that hang around the Ruby Sanctum, they might be finding themselves to be the victims of pranks and little annoyances. Practicing your fire? It might suddenly flare up a little (never enough to be dangerous- just startling). Sitting under the shade of the tree? You may have to watch out for falling nuts. Set something down and walked away for a bit? Wow, how did it move ten feet into the bush? Or maybe you found your armor has been painted on! Or any other assortment of mostly harmless, but irritating things]

[Or maybe you got lucky and avoided Zelos's pestering. Instead you might just find him sitting by the lake, looking perpetually bored out of his mind.]

[a siiiigh] Not this again. It's not that weird to have humans with that hair color! Or mine! I don't know about humans on this world, but it's perfectly normal where I'm from!

[Well. In Tethe'alla anyway. Sylvarant was a lot tamer with the hair]

I'm fairly sure that I'm more used to seeing night elves with green hair then I am seeing any human with bright red hair. I don't think I've ever seen a human with blue hair. [She shakes her head.]

It's weird.

[a shrug] What can I say? I'm not around humans a lot.

Does that mean I'm one of your few exposures to what humans are like?

That's...not good.

I've met other humans besides you. I however have not had to live in the same space as humans. A few other races but not yet humans.

Well then I'm glad I can help you cross off something new on your "interspecies roommate" bingo card.

[She wants to instantly ask what "bingo" is and why is it a card but she's pretty sure they need to go on discussing oddities between species and cultures again.]

It is an interesting experience. With everything going on this is not what I expected.

That we'd all be given at least a decent pillow and blanket. This find something that doesn't make your body miserable really distracts one from the oddities of others.

Good point. Expecting us to sleep on the ground and fend for ourselves after they dragged us here to help them out is pretty rich.

I mean, the last people who kidnapped me to help out did a lot of questionable things, but at least I got my own room. [Well, before everything got blown up anyway]

I'd say a lot of their choices right now are, as you say, rich.

Yep. Well, more like resurrected me to help their cause.

Still, they didn't really give me a choice in the matter and it wasn't like I could just go home or back to the afterlife if I wasn't interested in their war, so- yeah! Kidnapping's essentially what it was.

[Resurrected him. ...He looks and acts very little like an undead. She stares at him, in a state of pure shock. How is he supposed to be undead? Maybe if he'd never been eating or sleeping she might buy it. He wasn't rotting either. Not obviously, at least. None of the signs of being undead were there beyond his word.

She's at a loss. All she can manage to do is stare at him. She has no idea how to try and respond to such a statement.]

[That...helps. She rubs the back of her neck and wow. She's so unsure of how to approach or deal with that information.]

[He gives a little nod] That's what I said.

Because simply put you'd be considered undead to her. Vindicators, young ones especially, are prone to negative reactions to people they consider undead.

[Oh, he's definitely frowning now.]

What? You're saying, she might try to kill me?

No, she wouldn't. I can't promise she wouldn't go off on some tangent about how undead are an abomination to the Light and all good things in the universe. Possibly might try and hit you with a mace because "the Light demands it."

She's a bit over-devoted to the ideas of the Light.

So I've noticed.

[He sighs. Being hit because the Light says he's an abomination? That is ironic. But it doesn't exactly concern him. if anything, it'd just end worse for Vas, hitting an angel]

[She sighs and shakes her head.]

I guessed as much. I don't think I've ever heard of someone willing being resurrected. It isn't entirely her own fault. Her mentor was a the same way. It's honestly very common for Vindicators.

[He slumps his shoulders]

Right, of course. What a pain.
