[OPEN] NO MORE BEAR MEAT
Who: Zelos and YOU
What: Sick of hanging around the Sanctum (and bear meat), Zelos decides to head out
Where: Silverglen Retreat
When: Todayish?
Warnings: Swearing and violence most likely
[A. Silverglen Retreat. OPEN TO RED, BRONZE AND GREEN FLIGHTS.]
[It seriously hadn't taken long for Zelos to be sick of hanging around the Sanctum and training all the time. Being kept somewhere for his safekeeping had never sat well with him, after all. So he worked on learning about the other areas from the dragons. Sure, most places in the area seemed to want to happily kill him- but it sounded like Silverglen Retreat would be alright for a first stop!]
[Especially if he wanted to get food that wasn't flame-cooked bear meat.]
[And so, ignoring warnings of how it was dangerous outside, he headed out to Silverglen Retreat. He made it there without incident, and once he proved he was a Redsworn, he was allowed in with only wary staresm - which was something he was used to anyway.]
[His hair probably makes him for an easy person to spot in the marketplace, and currently he's wandering the stalls trying to figure out how to get supplies in a trade-based economy when your life skills are well, limited, to say the least.]
[B. Forest outside Silverglen Retreat. OPEN TO ALL.]
[Eventually it seemed some elf decided to throw him a bone (or just get to stop hitting on their daughters for stuff) and made an arrangement that if he brought back a number of stag flanks- they'd give him some supplies he needed. Which hey, he could do that! He could fight, so that shouldn't be a problem, right?]
[Except, for one problem your character might come across, as he kneels over a stag that's clearly been killed by fire and sword cuts - a look of frustrated confusion very clear on his face]
Damn...where's the flank again?

[she looks to the deer again and . . . makes a face] It is the lower part of the belly . . . I think.
no subject
[....]
You..think? About how sure are you?
no subject
[she's kneeling down, now, to investigate . . . without touching]
I am . . . fairly sure? I have done some hunting, but I never got a lesson in . . . which parts are eaten and which aren't.

[WEIRD TALES THING.]
Great..I only really saw it once it was skinned and ready to cook. But it's a good a guess as any.
[Which he'll take! He draws a dagger and looks at a spot to start cutting into]
no subject
[oh you crazy rpg characters.
She shifts to pull her knife from her boot to help, though she shoots him an amused look] Do you at least know this part?
no subject
[WEIRD.]
[He chuckles a little nervously] Sure sure! I know what it looks like...I think!
no subject
[she gestures in a "go ahead" way]

[HE CAN DO THIS. He takes a breath and aims for a spot and JAMS HIS KNIFE IN]
[And from the purely nauseous smell that shows up, it looks like he hit the stomach!]
- Crap!
no subject
[is what she probably said in between all that laughter]
no subject
Ya think?!
Jeez- that's awful! Ugh!

no subject
Ngh- that's better...I hope.

[nope, she won't let him forget that anytime soon]
no subject
Yeah! Maybe I got calling in dismemberment!

But however will you improve if you do not practice?
