Quest Log: Suit Up!
Who: Dragon mages and dragonsworn.
What: You have been given a quest to infiltrate Sin'thalas and rescue your fellow dragonsworn. Also discussion of scrying orbs.
Where: The sanctums.
When: May 4th and ongoing for a week.
Warnings: Please PM the mods if needed.
Despite the chaos surrounding the disappearances of several Dragonsworn, your sanctum's dragon mage is trying to be calm about this. After a brief discussion behind the scenes with the others, he or she has returned.
"Gather 'round, I have some grave news. Several Dragonsworn have gone missing. We found them, but we are unable to rescue them by ourselves. It would look very bad if dragons were to attack a settlement. That is why we are asking you for help.
"Southeast of Suramar is a village named Sin'thalas. It is these elves who have taken and imprisoned the Dragonsworn. Whether you negotiate or use force to ensure the return of your brethren, it will not be easy. These elves are highly-trained and knowledgeable, far from the refugees you may have seen in the Retreat.
"In light of this, we have implemented a system to communicate over great distances." The dragon mage unveils a magical orb nearby, the perfect size for gazing. "This is a scrying orb. Approach it and think of Sin'thalas, and you will be seen and heard from the orb at that location. It also works in reverse. This should allow us to coordinate our movements depending on the flow of the situation.
"I urge you to think carefully about how best to retrieve your fellow Dragonsworn. You are yet a small force and highly outnumbered. We cannot afford to lose any of you."
[ooc: If characters want to use the orbs,
lookingformore is now OPEN. Remember, orbs CANNOT connect from sanctum to sanctum!]

[Darn straight they'd proven themselves. All that banner-planting hadn't been for cheap exercise and recreation!]
[Beyond that, though, he intends to let Carolina speak more directly on matters first, and if she wants to go to the top before speaking, he'll follow her lead.]

[she glances at Mar, but doesn't disagree] As he says. Please lead the way.
[ Carolina will indeed follow where the new night elf leads, curiousity reined in strongly behind business-like expression. Krasus had said that the dragons (or at least, the red flight) had minimal contact with the other races here at best, so there were few extra details to be gleaned before coming here.
Once they've reached their intended destination, Carolina does not wait on the refreshments - though they won't be refused if offered, even if she does not sip hers right away. ]
Your people have been very tolerant of the dragonsworn since our arrival. We appreciate you taking time to speak with us.

Inside a private hut between two trees with a lush canopy overhead, they will find they hear nothing else other than the animals in the forest nearby. Birds chirping and all the various noises bugs create. Naturally, there are berries and fresh bread, not much, but enough to serve guests.
They aren't here for that though and so she wastes little time: ]
What is it that brings you here? There is something troubled in your eyes.

We've come to ask you for information, and advice. While you and your fellow elves of Silverglen have been open to us, I'm afraid that we seem to have run afoul of another group who have taken some of our number hostage. What do you know of the elves of Sin'thalas?

[ Lowering her gaze to be even with the Red Dragonsworn who addresses her now. ]
When we were attacked, they couldn't come to our aid quick enough and since then have made efforts to rally their Sentinels quicker. I cannot assume why they have taken some of your own hostage, but they must have their suspicions.

[a frown follows] Given they've likely paid close attention to our comings and goings, why would they only act against us now?
no subject
I cannot speak for them, but I could speak to them. Perhaps they will enlighten us to their reasons.

We would be very grateful. Speaking at least for the Red Dragonsworn, we would rather have allies than enemies. Good reasons for suspicion or not, we'd welcome the chance to allay those reasons and work together.

In the meantime, it's advisable that your allies do not attempt to infiltrate Sin'thalas. They are the least forgiving and if anymore blood were to spill, it would worsen matters.

[There's a pause, then Carolina tilts her head at the elf]
Might we know your name?
[It'll make showing gratitude later easier for one.]
