Quest Log: Suit Up!
Who: Dragon mages and dragonsworn.
What: You have been given a quest to infiltrate Sin'thalas and rescue your fellow dragonsworn. Also discussion of scrying orbs.
Where: The sanctums.
When: May 4th and ongoing for a week.
Warnings: Please PM the mods if needed.
Despite the chaos surrounding the disappearances of several Dragonsworn, your sanctum's dragon mage is trying to be calm about this. After a brief discussion behind the scenes with the others, he or she has returned.
"Gather 'round, I have some grave news. Several Dragonsworn have gone missing. We found them, but we are unable to rescue them by ourselves. It would look very bad if dragons were to attack a settlement. That is why we are asking you for help.
"Southeast of Suramar is a village named Sin'thalas. It is these elves who have taken and imprisoned the Dragonsworn. Whether you negotiate or use force to ensure the return of your brethren, it will not be easy. These elves are highly-trained and knowledgeable, far from the refugees you may have seen in the Retreat.
"In light of this, we have implemented a system to communicate over great distances." The dragon mage unveils a magical orb nearby, the perfect size for gazing. "This is a scrying orb. Approach it and think of Sin'thalas, and you will be seen and heard from the orb at that location. It also works in reverse. This should allow us to coordinate our movements depending on the flow of the situation.
"I urge you to think carefully about how best to retrieve your fellow Dragonsworn. You are yet a small force and highly outnumbered. We cannot afford to lose any of you."
[ooc: If characters want to use the orbs,
lookingformore is now OPEN. Remember, orbs CANNOT connect from sanctum to sanctum!]

BLUE FLIGHT

[Which is why he is giving Zerigosa a studied look. What's with those ears, anyways? Kinda cute, actually--NO STOP THAT, NOT THE TIME, KHOLIN.]
Do you have a plan on how to help them, Brightness?
[He'll learn Azerothian terms of respect later.]
no subject
There are so few of us, but that makes it all the more important to retrieve our lost bluesworn.
We will need the cooperation of the red flight, at the very least. They are likely spearheading the operation. I suggest you go to Sin'thalas and meet with them there. Diplomacy is their strong suit; with luck, you may only have to provide a token distraction... but it is impossible to guarantee anything at this point.

I can work with them. I've worked with rivals before. It might be like old times.
no subject
... Please, take care of yourself.

[He nods his head, before he looks thoughtful, and puts his arms behind his back, crossing them.]
How many of ours are missing, so far? So I know who to look for, if I end up in there.

[She is trying to be taciturn in her own way, hands folded across her stomach.]
You have only just arrived. Are you certain that you are prepared, hero?
no subject
As prepared as I can be. I don't think we have much choice, though. We can't leave one of our own there, can we?
no subject
... The others are but children, [she says finally, eyes lowering.] I do not wish to make them fight if they do not want to.
no subject
I can handle that. I was a warrior on Roshar. Storms, but I can be one here.

Return whole and well, Champion.
May 6
We meet again!
[ It was inevitable they would, but at the time she was under the impression her new companion was going to be busy for a while. The thinned numbers here aren't all that noticeable to the woman who has yet to experience the other Dragonsworn, but it's as if she can feel the heavy cloak that wraps around their minds. It was something heavy, perhaps she could help? With a hopeful look in her eyes, she pinches the thick fabric of her dress to pull it up away from her slippers to keep from tripping on it as she approaches. ]
What is it that troubles you? [ Anyone else is free to recognize there's a newbie, but she might need more than a "Hey you!" to be pulled away from the task of acquiring Zerigosa's attention. ]

... Several dragonsworn have been abducted, [she murmurs, glancing away. It's obvious that despite her chilly demeanor, she feels somewhat responsible.] I am trying to think of a way to prevent such things in the future, but the outside of the sanctum is out of my control.
It is unfair to cage you here, to tell you not to roam and explore. The Blue Dragonflight has always encouraged freedom and curiosity. Yet this world is treacherous... if the remains of my flight are any indication.
no subject
We can work together in deciding a safe perimeter of the area outside the sanctum at a later time.
For now, there is something more pressing to tend to. Are there plans to recover the missing?
no subject
It is an unfortunate truth, but we dragons cannot help you in this. We have erected the scrying orbs, but we dare not leave the sanctum unless it is absolutely necessary.
One of my kin was killed by a dragonsworn when they first arrived. [Her expression hardens.] I will not be so careless again.
no subject
[ Adolin, Adolin, Adolin. Memorizing the name quick, Zelda makes a note of it to seek this individual out and join them in the recovery of the one called Tempest, possibly the others. She must see what his plans were first. ]
Do you have the name of the one responsible for the death?
no subject
[She shakes her head lightly.]
... I do not. It was likely a black dragonsworn. I have already spoken to Surion about the matter, but it is not as if he can simply bring back my fallen kin.
no subject
I will do what I can to eliminate the potential for injury. The less risk there is involved, the better.
We can work together to resolve this matter quickly. Is there not a thing more I could do to help out for the time being?
no subject
no subject
Does this mean you have blessed me in order to fight for you? [ How thoughtful. ]

no subject
I won't ask you to waste your time in repeating yourself. The other dragonsworn have the answers, so I'll head out to join the hunt for our companions.
no subject
It is... understandable. There were many details we could only gloss over.
... Thank you, regardless.
