Quest Log: Suit Up!

Who: Dragon mages and dragonsworn.
What: You have been given a quest to infiltrate Sin'thalas and rescue your fellow dragonsworn. Also discussion of scrying orbs.
Where: The sanctums.
When: May 4th and ongoing for a week.
Warnings: Please PM the mods if needed.

Despite the chaos surrounding the disappearances of several Dragonsworn, your sanctum's dragon mage is trying to be calm about this. After a brief discussion behind the scenes with the others, he or she has returned.

"Gather 'round, I have some grave news. Several Dragonsworn have gone missing. We found them, but we are unable to rescue them by ourselves. It would look very bad if dragons were to attack a settlement. That is why we are asking you for help.

"Southeast of Suramar is a village named Sin'thalas. It is these elves who have taken and imprisoned the Dragonsworn. Whether you negotiate or use force to ensure the return of your brethren, it will not be easy. These elves are highly-trained and knowledgeable, far from the refugees you may have seen in the Retreat.

"In light of this, we have implemented a system to communicate over great distances." The dragon mage unveils a magical orb nearby, the perfect size for gazing. "This is a scrying orb. Approach it and think of Sin'thalas, and you will be seen and heard from the orb at that location. It also works in reverse. This should allow us to coordinate our movements depending on the flow of the situation.

"I urge you to think carefully about how best to retrieve your fellow Dragonsworn. You are yet a small force and highly outnumbered. We cannot afford to lose any of you."

[ooc: If characters want to use the orbs, [community profile] lookingformore is now OPEN. Remember, orbs CANNOT connect from sanctum to sanctum!]

Morpheus shook his head. "I have no solid numbers. Even if they were the same population as Silverglen, they are all armed. Trained, too."

Falling silent again, Jacques considers that detail. They'd be dealing with fighters, and even a small number of those who know what they're doing are dangerous. Now, an entire population, well...

He knew the odds were bad. "I would suggest talking to them first. There are abilities you have as a green dragonsworn that others do not have. I think working together is the best way to rescue them, so you can cover each other's weaknesses."

Nodding slowly, the hunter didn't disagree to that suggestion, although he also thought himself hardly the one to handle such. Normally he didn't handle negotiations back with Geddoe's mercenaries, but that was because the others were much better at that.

Morpheus wasn't very good at carrying on conversation, narcolepsy aside. "Do you need anything?"

Two best conversationalists, right here. Jacques lifted his head at that inquiry, and he did give it some thought. In regards to equipment, he was set and usually handled his own resources himself, given that the bow gun he used was of his own design. Being able to coax shafts to grow from trees at just the right length and diameter was pretty handy though.

Rose had mentioned to him that there was an armory available for them to go through, so maybe he could salvage some arrowheads or something if he needed. In general however, Jacques wasn't used to asking anything of anyone, and so it was that when he finally did have a response, it was to shake his head no.
