Quest Log: Suit Up!

Who: Dragon mages and dragonsworn.
What: You have been given a quest to infiltrate Sin'thalas and rescue your fellow dragonsworn. Also discussion of scrying orbs.
Where: The sanctums.
When: May 4th and ongoing for a week.
Warnings: Please PM the mods if needed.

Despite the chaos surrounding the disappearances of several Dragonsworn, your sanctum's dragon mage is trying to be calm about this. After a brief discussion behind the scenes with the others, he or she has returned.

"Gather 'round, I have some grave news. Several Dragonsworn have gone missing. We found them, but we are unable to rescue them by ourselves. It would look very bad if dragons were to attack a settlement. That is why we are asking you for help.

"Southeast of Suramar is a village named Sin'thalas. It is these elves who have taken and imprisoned the Dragonsworn. Whether you negotiate or use force to ensure the return of your brethren, it will not be easy. These elves are highly-trained and knowledgeable, far from the refugees you may have seen in the Retreat.

"In light of this, we have implemented a system to communicate over great distances." The dragon mage unveils a magical orb nearby, the perfect size for gazing. "This is a scrying orb. Approach it and think of Sin'thalas, and you will be seen and heard from the orb at that location. It also works in reverse. This should allow us to coordinate our movements depending on the flow of the situation.

"I urge you to think carefully about how best to retrieve your fellow Dragonsworn. You are yet a small force and highly outnumbered. We cannot afford to lose any of you."

[ooc: If characters want to use the orbs, [community profile] lookingformore is now OPEN. Remember, orbs CANNOT connect from sanctum to sanctum!]

"I'll go to Silverglen and try to round up some assistance. One of you two should get to Sin'thalas to try to intercept any missions from the other flights and explain the diplomacy thing, and the other rounds up people from here for the mission." That should keep them all involved!

Mar briefly wondered if he could trust Vala to not take the Sin'thalas mission, then go do her own thing anyway, but he dismissed that thought. He'd trust her until he knew he couldn't.

"Well...I'm not exactly the most well-acquainted with everyone. Nor do I know if anyone in other flights have ever seen a Draenei and wouldn't mistake me for a threat." Because so far the number of people who had no idea that the Draenei were even a race almost astounded her. On the other hand sitting around the Sanctum gathering people felt like a less productive use of her time.

"I suppose I am free to do either one." That's not entirely true. She'd much rather be near Sin'thalas. If she could get closer to there she could try and check on Vas...somehow.

Unfortunately for Valamia, Zelos has no qualms with being impolite about volunteering for the preferred one. "I can head to Sin'thalas. I doubt there'd be any mix-ups about who I'm from."

You know, with his firetruck red hair and all. Though mostly, he was just bad at staying behind anywhere.

That was pretty much how he hoped it would be, so excellent. "Great! Station yourself by that scrying orb they told us about, that'll likely be a good meeting spot. I'll head out to Silverglen now. The less time wasted, the better!"
