[Zelos had no idea demonic apocalypses could be so...dull.]

[Okay, maybe that was the wrong word for it. But to Zelos, it's felt as though he's done nothing but train, gather supplies and fight demons for the past several months. And what the only village being a complete boondocks and the fact he didn't get along with a lot of the other Sworn- he couldn't help but start to feel a little like he was going nuts from the repetition. Even in Exsilium he had a job, books to read and a roommate to harrass. Not to mention a bed and a shower. This was painful!]

[And unfortunately for the Sworn, Zelos's boredom had a habit of turning on others.]

[So for the people that hang around the Ruby Sanctum, they might be finding themselves to be the victims of pranks and little annoyances. Practicing your fire? It might suddenly flare up a little (never enough to be dangerous- just startling). Sitting under the shade of the tree? You may have to watch out for falling nuts. Set something down and walked away for a bit? Wow, how did it move ten feet into the bush? Or maybe you found your armor has been painted on! Or any other assortment of mostly harmless, but irritating things]

[Or maybe you got lucky and avoided Zelos's pestering. Instead you might just find him sitting by the lake, looking perpetually bored out of his mind.]

There's a lot more things I could poke fun at you for. Look! You humans are so different from us! You wear those silly things over those..."feet" of yours. You have no tails, no crests or horns.

[He shrugs, as if not even phased.]

Yeah, but at least we can wear so many more colors without clashing with our skin. Tell me, can you guys even wear warm colors without hurting people's eyes?

[stormcalling]

I can't but there are plenty who can. They simply need to have a skin color closer to Vas's then mine.

...Trust me, blue's not all that flattering with warm colors either.

How many people with blue skin do you know again?

I know people with blue hair! That's close enough!

A human with blue hair? You want to comment about Draenei wearing warm colors when you know people with blue hair.

Forget your color wheel. Besides, from what I see everything you wear all stays close to your hair color. Your...weird...bright hair.

[a siiiigh] Not this again. It's not that weird to have humans with that hair color! Or mine! I don't know about humans on this world, but it's perfectly normal where I'm from!

I'm fairly sure that I'm more used to seeing night elves with green hair then I am seeing any human with bright red hair. I don't think I've ever seen a human with blue hair. [She shakes her head.]

It's weird.

Vala, my dear lady, you think everything about humans is weird.

[stormcalling]

[a shrug] What can I say? I'm not around humans a lot.

Does that mean I'm one of your few exposures to what humans are like?

[A beat]

That's...not good.

I've met other humans besides you. I however have not had to live in the same space as humans. A few other races but not yet humans.

[wilder]

Well then I'm glad I can help you cross off something new on your "interspecies roommate" bingo card.

[stormcalling]

[She wants to instantly ask what "bingo" is and why is it a card but she's pretty sure they need to go on discussing oddities between species and cultures again.]

It is an interesting experience. With everything going on this is not what I expected.

[Less demons, more alcohol and being able to see her daughter. Oh wait.]

That we'd all be given at least a decent pillow and blanket. This find something that doesn't make your body miserable really distracts one from the oddities of others.

Good point. Expecting us to sleep on the ground and fend for ourselves after they dragged us here to help them out is pretty rich.

I mean, the last people who kidnapped me to help out did a lot of questionable things, but at least I got my own room. [Well, before everything got blown up anyway]

I'd say a lot of their choices right now are, as you say, rich.

Wait you've been kidnapped before?

Yep. Well, more like resurrected me to help their cause.

Still, they didn't really give me a choice in the matter and it wasn't like I could just go home or back to the afterlife if I wasn't interested in their war, so- yeah! Kidnapping's essentially what it was.

[Resurrected him. ...He looks and acts very little like an undead. She stares at him, in a state of pure shock. How is he supposed to be undead? Maybe if he'd never been eating or sleeping she might buy it. He wasn't rotting either. Not obviously, at least. None of the signs of being undead were there beyond his word.

She's at a loss. All she can manage to do is stare at him. She has no idea how to try and respond to such a statement.]
