Who: Yuan Ka-Fai, anyone in the Ruby Sanctum
What: Going from angel to mortal in under ten seconds, aka arrival post
Where: The Ruby Sanctum
When: May 5
Warnings: Probably some mild swearing
Suddenly appearing in a strange new place is not, in and of itself, enough to knock Yuan from his feet.
What is enough is the fact that the air is cold in his lungs, and he's breathing like it's something he needs to do, and his limbs are heavy in a way they haven't been in years. He tries to move, takes a step, staggers and leans against a wall for balance. His clothes are a tangible presence against his skin, and the texture of the wall is rough and cool.
"What...what did that bastard do to me?" His voice is oddly distant to his ears, and he squints as he stares out at the crowd of dragons before him, his vision less clear than he's accustomed to. Upset and vulnerable, he decides to stay put for the moment until he can get his bearings and regain some equilibrium.

He did not expect to recognize the new arrival, and his surprised reaction shows that much.
"Son of a bitch...! Yuan?!"
Nor, does it seem, is he very happy about it. It'll probably click in a second that Yuan needs help. But right now, his mind is reeling from the fact that out of all people, the Red Flight brought that guy in?
...
Then again, at least it was better than Kratos.

"Wilder?" He scowls at Zelos unhappily. Of all the people to greet him in a strange world when he's already vulnerable... "What the hell are you doing here?"
no subject
"Oh you know me, I just love getting into wars that have nothing to do with me." There's an eyeroll that accompanies the snark. "I got dragged into this mess same way you did."
no subject
But on the other hand, since Zelos has answered one question, maybe he'll have the answer to another. "Did they...do something to us?" It has to be his Cruxis Crystal. There isn't anything else that affects the way he functions to such a degree as this, and he's visibly worried about the possibilities of that. "Interfere with our Key Crests or something?"
no subject
He does consider not answering for a couple seconds- but alas. Even Zelos has limits of how jerkish he can be. So he gives a little sigh as he answers. "Yeah, sorta. The method they use to bring people in's got some serious flaws - powers getting lost and stuff like that." Or into an undead...whatever Shirley was now. It made him queasy just thinking about how he dodged that bullet.
"The good new for you is you're not sick or dying or anything. You're just not an angel anymore."
no subject
"It makes sense," he says at last. "And considering Exspheres...it could be worse. Although I'm left wondering how they expect us to help them if we're sealed like this."
no subject
It wasn't that Zelos was all that fond of his powers. Honestly, in any other circumstances, he'd welcome the return to being a normal human. But in a war against an army of demons, well, even he couldn't deny he was missing having all those powers that came with being an angel.

"I'm guessing you're one of the people the dragons decided to drag into this mess, huh?" She could be open, honest and tell him all about everything. On the other hand he might not be ready for that or he might have a clue already. She might as well make sure he's in a decent state of mind before they could possibly try and talk out everything.
no subject
But since she's talking to him, he should at least try to reply. "Ah...Dragons? They didn't look like dragons to me." He squints out at the cave. "...Those certainly look like dragons, though, so I suppose I'll say yes, that seems to be what happened to me. I don't suppose you have any extra details on what 'this mess' entails?"
no subject
"Lets see...the dragon mages who brought us here did so to fight against the Burning Legion. The Burning Legion is a mass army of demons who have corrupted races, destroyed worlds and caused immeasurable amounts of destruction. They are also a force that has not been completely defeated in over tens of thousands of years. To my knowledge all anyone has done is either flee them, succumb to them or delay their invasions." She realizes that maybe, just maybe, that is a bit too blunt. False hope wasn't going to do a whole lot of good at the moment and she was not in the mood to offer it.

And opens them again, still regarding her curiously. "...So we've been brought here...what, to make a stand against them? Is there some reason to believe that we'll do better than previous attempts, or is this a last defiance sort of thing? ...Not that I exactly have a problem with the latter, but it would be reassuring to think that there's some measure of strategy at work here."
no subject
"They believe that we our help they can drive the Legion back. The Legion doesn't always chase after the strongest targets. By proving that this place can hold its own, it might cause them to leave. In my personal belief, I think the dragons are simply hoping that everything will work out with no reason to believe it will." Because summoning people into a war that most of them don't know about or know who their fighting tends to end poorly. In her experience throwing the Burning Legion into it makes the situation ten times worse.

The 'bastard' did not do anything harmful, I assure you.

I am meant to be here, to aid communication between our flight and our dragonsworn. My name is Krasus.
-- You look unwell. [This isn't the first time he's seen it.] Do you need healing?

Consider, for a moment, that you have been pulled across endless expanses of time and space. Everyone finds themselves weakened somewhat by the timeways upon arrival.
You will regain your power with time. If you do not, you will find it has been substituted by Azeroth's own; however, I sense none of that in you.
no subject
So you talked about needing our help to save the world. I'm all right with that, especially if it means saving my own in the process, but can I get a little more detail on what exactly you want me to do?

With hope.
"Are you troubled, champion?" Naturally he is, but maybe he hadn't meant for anyone to hear him speak out loud?
no subject
"...A little, yes," he replies. "I seem to be...affected by having been brought here. Some abilities I've come to depend on over the course of the years are now lost to me." There's no other explanation but that his Cruxis Crystal has been disabled or sealed somehow. He can only hope that it hasn't been catastrophically destabilized, or he may well become a threat to himself and others.

"Your arrival is ill-timed for this matter. There are not many who can help you as our minds are occupied with the abduction of some of our own. However, I am here."
no subject
He looks her over carefully, still trying to assess the situation. Still trying to figure out what, exactly, she is. "You are indeed here, milady, but I'm afraid I don't know what that means. ...My name is Yuan."
