Who: Zelos and Redsworn
What: Zelos is bored, thus people suffer.

[Zelos had no idea demonic apocalypses could be so...dull.]

[Okay, maybe that was the wrong word for it. But to Zelos, it's felt as though he's done nothing but train, gather supplies and fight demons for the past several months. And what the only village being a complete boondocks and the fact he didn't get along with a lot of the other Sworn- he couldn't help but start to feel a little like he was going nuts from the repetition. Even in Exsilium he had a job, books to read and a roommate to harrass. Not to mention a bed and a shower. This was painful!]

[And unfortunately for the Sworn, Zelos's boredom had a habit of turning on others.]

[So for the people that hang around the Ruby Sanctum, they might be finding themselves to be the victims of pranks and little annoyances. Practicing your fire? It might suddenly flare up a little (never enough to be dangerous- just startling). Sitting under the shade of the tree? You may have to watch out for falling nuts. Set something down and walked away for a bit? Wow, how did it move ten feet into the bush? Or maybe you found your armor has been painted on! Or any other assortment of mostly harmless, but irritating things]

[Or maybe you got lucky and avoided Zelos's pestering. Instead you might just find him sitting by the lake, looking perpetually bored out of his mind.]

Curious doesn't always mean having to ask more and more about it. If it that were true, I'd be asking about you and not eating.

What do you mean? Of course curious means that. It's manners that keeps one from asking more and more questions. Which, I never claimed my manners to be great.

Besides! You gotta admit talking about relationships is far more interesting than discussing human digestion and bowel movements.

I don't know. A relationship that didn't last doesn't sound as interesting at someone who doesn't eat for...a lot longer then I think any race does without eating.

[She'll roll her eyes. Somehow she isn't surprised by that.]

Hardly. Maybe at your age it sounds interesting but at my age, people who are behaving differently tend to be worth more attention.

[His arms cross; guess he deserves this after the prying he did in her personal life]

No, no you don't. Which is reason to question. Not that I expect you place that level of trust in me. I do expect that if it's going to have a negative effect on your health to warn someone ahead of time.

It won't. [A pause, then he amends] At least, it's nothing that I haven't handled before.

[He gives a headshake and sigh. There's no point in really denying there's something weird going on, but:]

Sorry, but in a case like this knowing the answers just might invite trouble.

Handling it before doesn't mean that-...who knows. Maybe you're right. Either way, don't be afraid to ask if help if you need it.

Sure, sure. I'll keep that in mind.

[He sees it as unlikely he'll go for help, but that's not an argument worth having. He wasn't lying about the trouble though. Nothing good came from Cruxis Crystals. The last thing this world needed was for people to take an interest in them]

[Besides, Vala may be less devout than Vas, but she was still a draenei. They were a religious people. He can't really trust how well they'd take to the idea of anything that might put their Light into question.]

[He wasn't interested in breaking people's faith.]

Just...trust me. You're better off not knowing.

[She gives a small shrug. It's a bit silly to hear that at her age. She almost remarks that at her age she's heard a ridiculous amount of things she's better off not having known. It came with the age. She figures it's not worth delving into.]

You could try and not be so dismissive of someones concern. I mean, someone around the flight has to be the one to worry about people.

[She's trying to lighten the mood again but it's not something she's good at. Darn.]

[He gives a small heh, and cocks his head a little]

That certainly wasn't my intent. Maybe next time I'll try not to time it so well with avoiding subjects.

[She exhales slowly, one hand rubbing her forehead. Oh come on he has to know about a divorce. Humans have them more than Draenei do!]

Your marriage customs must be very different from ours.

And maybe take my advice to heart. That'd be a nice bonus.

[WHAT. She almost believes he's lying to toy with her.]

[A real nice bonus. Though he's not real sure what to do with concern at all so he brushes it aside]

A dating or courting couple, sure. But once you tie the knot- that means get married- it's a done deal for life.

That seems strange. Not that divorce is all that common in draenei either but it does exist.

[He shrugs a little]

Just how it is. Hell, depending on your social class, you might not even get to choose your spouse in the first place.

Arranged marriages. I've seen a few people try and plan those. It didn't work out. I'm surprised humans would try such a thing. From what I understand there seems to be a great deal of importance on having your own choice and life.

Sure, humans like having a choice, but most like having stability even more. Especially when one person's choices could have disastrous consequences on everyone, you know?

I mean, it's oppressive and suffocating, but.... [he shrugs] I can't deny it's allowed Tethe'alla to survive all these years.

I can't imagine living like that. I know the Light is a guiding force in my people...perhaps more then it should be but to live like that sounds terrible. Stability at a cost of choice.

I cannot imagine living a world quite like that.
