Who: Zelos and Redsworn
What: Zelos is bored, thus people suffer.

[Zelos had no idea demonic apocalypses could be so...dull.]

[Okay, maybe that was the wrong word for it. But to Zelos, it's felt as though he's done nothing but train, gather supplies and fight demons for the past several months. And what the only village being a complete boondocks and the fact he didn't get along with a lot of the other Sworn- he couldn't help but start to feel a little like he was going nuts from the repetition. Even in Exsilium he had a job, books to read and a roommate to harrass. Not to mention a bed and a shower. This was painful!]

[And unfortunately for the Sworn, Zelos's boredom had a habit of turning on others.]

[So for the people that hang around the Ruby Sanctum, they might be finding themselves to be the victims of pranks and little annoyances. Practicing your fire? It might suddenly flare up a little (never enough to be dangerous- just startling). Sitting under the shade of the tree? You may have to watch out for falling nuts. Set something down and walked away for a bit? Wow, how did it move ten feet into the bush? Or maybe you found your armor has been painted on! Or any other assortment of mostly harmless, but irritating things]

[Or maybe you got lucky and avoided Zelos's pestering. Instead you might just find him sitting by the lake, looking perpetually bored out of his mind.]

Heh, well I'm afraid I don't have any crystals to give you, soooo you'll just have to take my word I won't pass out!

Fine! You know, I would settle for a drink instead of a crystal. All things considered a real drink would be wonderful right about now.

[He sighs wistfully] Oh yeah, I could agree with that. It's been far too long since I've had a good drink.

It's too bad the elves don't like us enough to share their drinks. I'd give quite a lot for one. Maybe someday we can get one.

I dunno- is Night Elf wine any good? When I think of brewers, I can't say I really think of elves.

The ones I had were fine. When you come from a race that lives for ages you learn interesting things. Sometimes it's how to make a good drink.

Hmmm, guess you got a point. Gotta numb living all those years somehow.

[She'll sigh.] Yeah, yeah you do. Being old isn't quite as great as some people think it is.

Yeah.

But don't worry! I don't think that's great. I'd hate to get as old as you.

I'd say you wound me but I can't blame you. If I knew I'd be this old I probably would done things a bit differently.

Like...what? Put a little bit of money in a bank, and live off the interest for all eternity?

Nothing like that. I had stable enough income. Hm. I think I would have retired from the military at a younger age. I would have adopted a child before I was so old. I might have even tried to work things out with some stupid Vindicator I know. Not huge differences but they sound nice.

Oh? Some stupid Vindicator?

[Yes. That's exactly what he picked out from that]

Yes. A stupid, old, stubborn and frustrating old Vindicator. He's terrible at talking about anything important beyond work and he's an absolute pain to deal with.

[She'll try to be angry as she says that but she does go soft at the end. She might even sound a little endeared.]

So...an old flame then?

[SHUT UP. Divorces are hard when you still care about the person. And wow what is that statement.]

"Old flame"? I...have no idea what that means.

An old flame is a person you've had a relationship with! You know, had romantic feelings, got physical in the sheets- stuff like that.

Uh-huh. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that it is sort of obvious. I'm well-aware of that. [She'll groan and run her hand over her face.]

It's a pity that punching someone doesn't solve these things.

I'm well aware of that, sadly. Not that it's stopped me most of the time. Also didn't help me much during those times.

[It reminds him of sheena some. She's not exactly...the best when it comes to tender feelings. Not that he can really talk]

So, what? Do you wanna mend things and get back together with this guy?

[She shrugs. She takes a fair amount of time to try and figure out the answer to that question. Light only knows she wishes she had the answer.]

I don't think anything good would come from it. We're...not the same people. I would like there to be less anger between us, I guess.

[Right. He can understand that. A couple years can change people in a lot of ways. A couple millenia?]

Well, can't say I'm an expert on Draenei social customs but, uh- have you ever tried not punching?
